Al Noor – Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair 2017 invites community and corporates across the UAE to be part of the event happening on February 24, 2017.

Dubai, UAE: Throughout the years, Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities has been a beacon of joy not only for its students but also for its community. The institution has been organizing the biggest and the most vibrant fair annually sparking excitement amongst residents and visitors in the UAE. Witnessing the happiness that the occasion brings to each participant has become the constant driving force of the institution to make the event bigger and better on each passing year. As the New Year is about to unfold, the Centre is once again opening its doors for everyone to come together for an exciting and entertaining event which is the Al Noor – Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair 2017. The event will happen on the 24th of February 2017 from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm at Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities, Al Barsha 1, Behind Mall of the Emirates, Dubai, UAE.

The fair attracts and entertains approximately 5000 people every year and has an array of activities for entertaining adults and children. Amusement rides, merchandise stalls, stage entertainment and live performances will add more fun and color to the occasion. Sports and fitness enthusiasts are welcome to participate in the CSR Football Tournament and the Al Noor Run that will happen at the venue. Food lovers can explore different flavors from delicious cuisines at food stalls by local and international food chains. The Fun Fair is a great venue to strengthen the bond and connection amongst family and friends. A weekend filled with laughter and amusement is a perfect way to spend quality time together. More to that, organizers guarantee that your loved ones will leave the venue with the biggest smiles on their faces and with hearts full of delight.

About Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities:

Under the Honorary Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities is a non-profit organization operating under the Ministry of Community Development. Established in 1981, Al Noor has been providing high quality of professional training to the special needs community in Dubai for over 30 years. Starting with only 8 children the Centre has since expanded to facilitate and enrich the lives of up to 300 children and young people from different nationalities who have various physical and cognitive challenges such as Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism. The new all-purpose facility from which Al Noor now operates opened its doors in April 2007 and was generously donated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai and was made possible through the benefaction of HRH Princess Haya Bent Al Hussein. Al Noor follows a holistic programme addressing all domains of development through a Trans disciplinary assessment and intervention approach, all delivered at an ISO certified standard. In addition to teaching, the level of development is enhanced with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychological services, Sports and Music. Al Noor also prides itself on an exceptionally effective work placement unit that trains its students with a capability for open employment, integrating them into mainstream society post education.  

A particular star of the Al Noor’s fundraising achievements is the Centre’s very own Branded Retail Outlet – Smiles ‘n’ Stuff which helps to raise awareness and funds for the training Centre. It is the only one of its kind in the GCC where all the products are handcrafted by children and young people with special needs enrolled at Al Noor. The goal of Al Noor’s vocational training unit is to make children skilled and productive members of the community and training is offered in Wood design technology, printing technology, fashion technology and Bakery units.
