The campaign supports the Year of Giving 2017 and reflects the charitable spirit of Ramadan
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Deliveroo – the region’s premiere food delivery service – has announced its partnership with Emirates Red Crescent to raise funds in alignment with the UAE’s Year of Giving 2017. The campaign reflects the charitable spirit of Ramadan and will put appetites towards a good cause, as each customer who donates one or more meals to Red Crescent on Wednesday, 31st May will receive AED 25 back in Deliveroo credits.
Anis Harb, General Manager of Deliveroo G.C.C., commented: “This partnership provides Deliveroo with a meaningful way to support the UAE’s Year of Giving 2017, and we are proud to be working with Emirates Red Crescent – an authority that provides essential humanitarian aid during times of crisis. We believe that donating to a great cause should be just as easy as ordering great food, and we are glad to be offering our customers a chance to give back at this important time of year. We hope they will support us in making the campaign an outstanding success.”
During Ramadan, Deliveroo customers will be able to easily donate to Emirates Red Crescent via the company’s convenient app and website by scrolling to the ‘Emirates Red Crescent’ tile or looking for it via the search function. Customers will decide how much they wish to donate and can rest assured that the funds will be transferred directly to Emirates Red Crescent to help further its important humanitarian work around the world.
The Year of Giving has put a new emphasis on CSR activities, urging public and private sector companies to collaborate and fulfil their duties to the local and global community. Deliveroo has a comprehensive CSR programme that supports these values and the company has strengthened its community efforts in 2017 to support the government’s initiative. Its Emirates Red Crescent campaign aims to engage the local community to do good on a global scale.
