Dubai, UAE: Al-Futtaim’s Festival Plaza Mall, a hotspot located in Dubai’s Jebel Ali neighbourhood, will be hosting a celebratory extravaganza on occasion of the UAE’s 50th National Day from Thursday, December 2 to Saturday, December 4. With themed entertainment, endless shopping, and dining options, as well as exciting prizes to be won, the destination is all set to welcome visitors for the historic event. 

From December 2-4, guests can watch local dance troupe Ayala dancers – an embodiment of Emirati values and heritage – perform at Festival Plaza mall at 4.30pm, 6.30pm and 8.30pm daily in celebration of the spirit of the union. Visitors will delight at the sight of the mall lit up in the colours of the UAE national day flag for the occasion and can get their own flag at the customer service desk and wave along to the tunes!

In an ode to the beautiful art of Arabic calligraphy, guests who spend AED 150 at Festival Plaza mall on the same dates will receive a personalised, limited-edition tote bag with their name from a designated live calligraphy station. All they need to do is verify their receipts from the customer service desk to claim their free, customised tote bag, which is both reusable and environment friendly.

In the lead-up to the big day, as part of a Festival Rewards campaign running from Wednesday, November 24, mallgoers who redeem any vouchers off the Festival Rewards app at Festival Plaza will be eligible to win a total of AED 5,000 in gift cards until Sunday, December 5.   • November 24 to December 3: For super delicious eats and a 50% discount on mains from the wok, head to Asia Seven.   • November 25 to December 3: Trendy global fashion and lifestyle brand Mumuso is running a promotion where customers can get a special National Day edition face mask with every AED 69 purchase.
  • November 26 to December 3: At Life Pharmacy, customers will avail an AED 50 voucher on every purchase of AED 200, AED 10 voucher on every AED 100 spent and up to 70% off on selected products—and can also get a free BMI and health screening. Optical store Optivision is offering customers up to 90% off on selected items.
