The most prestigious Free Fire Esports competition in the MENA Region

  • 18 teams in total will compete in 14 matches
  • Winners will head directly to the upcoming Free Fire World Series

Cairo, Egypt: Following the tremendous success of its previous season, the Free Fire Arab League (FFAL), the most prestigious Free Fire esports competition in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has announced its return for its 6th season.

18 of the best teams from across the MENA region will be competing for; the title of MENA’s champions, a share of the USD $60,000 grand prize pool, and tickets to the upcoming international tournament of Free Fire World Series (FFWS).

Amongst these 18 teams are last season’s runner-up, the Algerian-based Sparta (used to be named All-Stars Esport), and last season’s champion, the Moroccan-based WASK. Both teams represented the MENA region proudly in the FFWS 2022 held earlier in May.

To become the champion, teams will have to prevail throughout all 3 stages of the competition; Group Stage, Play-In, and Grand Final. All matches adopt a Battle Royale format, spanning 8 rounds.

The Group Stage, taking place from 19 August – 24 September, features 12 matches. This stage sees 18 teams divided into 3 groups of 6 with each matchday comprising 2 groups playing together.

Depending on performances in the Group Stage, 6 teams will proceed directly to the Grand Final and 12 teams will have to go through the Play-In stage first. 12 teams in the Play-In will be competing for the remaining 6 slots in the Grand Final. Those that fail to do so will have to show their worth in a qualifying match to compete next season.

Eventually, 12 teams will meet in the Grand Final stage but only 1 team will emerge as the Champion and represent the MENA region in the upcoming Free Fire World Series.

More details about the tournament will be announced soon.
