Dubai, UAE: Visitors at Think Science 2018 will have the opportunity to explore the creative innovation that keeps PepsiCo, the global food and beverage company, at the top of its game. From automation to customization, the PepsiCo booth at Think Science will feature exciting examples of the role technology and innovation plays in the beverage, snack and nutrition sector.

With the aim of encouraging youth to enter the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields, PepsiCo will immerse visitors at Think Science in the vast possibilities for technology applications in today’s F&B industry. From being greeted by a virtual assistant to exploring beverage customization through the PepsiCo robotic bar, the PepsiCo stand offers interactive and inspirational elements for everyone to enjoy.

For those wanting to get more involved, the PepsiCo STEM workshop will be hosted in the company’s Performance with Purpose (PwP) lounge area. Participants can sign up to learn about PepsiCo’s STEM program, with an introduction to innovation and technology led by company experts. There are even prizes to be won by participants who take part in workshop activities!

Speaking on the company’s participation, Omar Farid, PepsiCo President for the Middle East and North Africa, said: “Encouraging youth to explore the possibilities of working within the STEM fields will play an important role in meeting the goals of UAE Vision 2021, which will see the development of an empowered economy driven by knowledge and productivity. PepsiCo is proud to support the Emirates Foundation with initiatives such as Think Science, which prove invaluable in sparking inspiration in the minds of talented young people. PepsiCo believes in the power of innovation as an instrument of positive change, and recognizes its potential to grow and improve our business and the communities we live and work in.”

As a figurehead for PepsiCo’s digital transformation, Delel Chaabouni, Chief Information Officer for PepsiCo Middle East and North Africa, will join the judging panel of the Think Science Competition. The Think Science Competition aims to identify innovative solutions developed by talented youth that can improve the lives of others. This falls in line with PepsiCo’s PwP commitment, through which it aims to deliver change throughout its company, value chain, industry, and the world.
