A home is a stage to bring people together, take care of everyday life, and celebrate important moments. It is beyond trends, the choice of furniture, accessories and colours to create a unique atmosphere, an uplifting interior with an exquisite ambience. Through Sicics designs, that is achievable.
Introducing Shanghai Penthouse is a world, which electrifying and fast outside, inside opens up to new intuitions and new needs. The idea of SICIS is that in the scenario in which we set social relationships, concrete spaces with a qualitative dimension. The goal is to build favourable environments with a tangible sense of stability, ‘at home as in life’.
In this project, entirely conceived and created by SICIS, the atmosphere of the place is a combination of tradition, fashion, and comfort to always feel at ease.
SICIS intends to give life to the physical and sensory experiences of those ‘who live in spaces’, as it happens when one is reading a book.
Within the main living room, the scenic presence is created by an artistic mosaic depicting ferns on the ceiling. In addition, a Vetrite tridimensional wall with a rectangular shape, maps out the place and the design construction. The ambience is completed by a system of assembled Dorian sofas, Chameleon ottomans, and Tape tables, freely inspired by the design and architecture of the 70s.
“It’s undoubtedly scenographic, but without careful use of the materials, we cannot have such a result. Only within Italy can we find craftsmen to create specific products, artistic mosaics, and refined details,” says Maurizio Leo Placuzzi, Founder of SICIS.
With removable fabric cover, the Dorian sofas are a mix of classic and contemporary, with attention to detail which is the peculiarity of the brand.
Together with the Chamaleon Round pouffes, the Tape tables create a sinuous movement of full, empty, light and dark, changing the function of the objects and the pattern of the Vetrite chosen as the table structure.
A reading room houses a couple of Jules leather armchairs with fabric backs that go well with the Blake bookchelf and Ray tables. In the centre, two Mars coffee tables in Vetrite form an asymmetrical circular top.
Finally, the dining room is in a prospective vision between the relaxing areas and the outdoor terrace. The Osas table dominates the entire room, illuminated by the Drop ceiling lamps, in coloured glass and metal.
A Vetrite wall, reminiscent of a painting by Piet Mondrian, is the backdrop for the Island sideboard.
