The World Peace Committee Appoints Dr. Abdulrahman Al Ansari as Ambassador-at-Large for Peace

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The World Committee has confirmed its appointment of Dr. Abdulrahman Al Ansari as the Ambassador-at-Large for World Peace. As Ambassador, he will be coordinating the World Peace Summit 2017 which will be attended by 202 countries. Dr. Abdulrahman will also lead the coordination for the conference which will be at the core of the summit.

A distinguished executive, Dr. Abdulrahman a UAE National is a pioneer of innovative and forward thought, strengthened during his two-decade long career in many diverse sectors including Investment Banking, Oil &Gas, Healthcare, Education and Natural Resources with a focus on the continued economic and community development of the U.A.E. He is currently the Chairman of Bid Capital Management Consultancy.

Prior to Bid Capital he held senior positions in many financial institutions including Dubai Islamic Bank, Fairfax Middle East, Standard Chartered Bank and Mashreq Bank. He also worked as Group CEO for a private royal family office in Dubai.

In addition to his wealth of experience, Dr. Abdulrahman has established and developed robust business relationships with leading business executives and decision makers in most of the emerging market countries and the GCC in particular. Dr. Abdulrahman aims to work closely with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai through World Peace Summit in alignment with His Highness’ vision for the year of GIVING which will contribute to the peace and humanity worldwide.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Ansari stated, “I am honoured to assume the prestigious role of Ambassador-at-Large for an event of this magnitude and stature. I hope my expertise in economic and community development in the UAE will benefit the World Peace Summit and aid me in executing its objectives.”

This year’s summit will explore the relevant subject, ‘Build a New Civilization- One Earth with One Heart’. Nations will propagate the importance of unity and peace, especially in the current atmosphere that has divided mankind in the name of language, culture, religion, economic difference and nationality.

The World Peace Summit provides a space for international communities to establish a world ethic that respects and appreciates diversity, allowing the world to thrive in harmony despite language, religious and cultural differences. The platform will be key in condemning violence amongst other factors that have caused damageable fragmentation to mankind.

H.E Djuyoto Suntani, The President of the World Peace Committee will deliver the key note, followed by sessions from the Honorary Speakers including, the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church Pope Francis, the Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres, the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Michel Temer, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari.

The conference is going to be planned at World Peace Gong in Dubai, UAE in 2017.
