Doha, Qatar: TIER, Europe’s micro-mobility leader hailing from Berlin, launched its state-of-the-art e-scooter fleet today in Doha to operate in its first-ever city in Qatar. TIER is the first micro-mobility provider in the Middle East to utilise a fully climate-neutral business model. It is based on an innovative swappable battery technology that has placed TIER at the forefront of the industry when it comes to promoting sustainable and green mobility. With an extensive worldwide operational footprint TIER operates in more than 90 cities across 11 countries.
Being TIER’s second country in the Middle East where the company pursues its mission to change mobility for good, Qatar will be at the frontline of deploying sustainable and green transport infrastructures. The market-leading micro-mobility provider will offer its scooters, which will be located close to central transport hubs as well as other busy spots of Doha, on a 24/7 basis. Framework conditions which include speed control and a designated business area with e-scooters in prime locations have been defined and implemented in close collaboration with city officials.

To celebrate its first launch in the city of Doha, TIER will give first-time riders two complementary unlocks and 30 free minutes of usage added to their account when registering with the code “TIERDOHA”*.
TIER – Enjoy the new way of moving
To use one of TIER’s e-scooters, users can download the app, select an e-scooter on the virtual map, and unlock it by scanning the provided QR code. To end the ride, users can utilise TIER’s innovative virtual parking system, where they simply need to locate a designated safe parking spot and click on the ‘End Ride’ button.
Users of the TIER app will have the option to unlock their e-scooters with a fee of QR 3 and a subsequent QR 1 per-minute ride charge for every use. TIER riders will be able to make payments through a credit card or PayPal.
