Muscat: On completion of its first year of operations, the Management Body of the National Bank of Oman (NBO) Global Equity Fund has approved the distribution of an interim cash dividend of six percent (RO 0.060 per unit) for the period ended on 30 September 2025. The decision follows the recommendation of the Fund’s Investment Manager, NBO, and is based on the reviewed financial statements for the period.
The dividend will be distributed in the form of cash or reinvested units, in accordance with investor preferences. The record date for eligibility is 10 November 2025. Investors who wish to reinvest must submit a signed request to funds@nbo.co.om by 17 November 2025. Reinvestment will be processed on the next valuation day, which falls on 18 November 2025.
The NBO Global Equity Fund is an open-ended fund registered under Administrative Order 31/2024 with the Financial Services Authority (FSA). The Fund’s primary objective is to generate returns over the long term from an actively managed diversified portfolio of global listed equity and equity-oriented securities, including UCIT funds and ETFs.
As of 30th September 2025, the fund’s since inception return stands at 10.6% (inception date: 27th August 2024). The Fund’s investments are allocated across different geographies with exposure to emerging markets ranging from 0% – 25% and developed markets from 75% – 100%. Investors can subscribe to and redeem units of the Fund on a daily basis, with its NAV published on MSX each day.
The Fund is managed by National Bank of Oman SAOG and advised by Principal Global Investors, with Standard Chartered Bank serving as custodian and administrator. NBO’s Investment Banking Division (IBD) was established with approvals from the Central Bank of Oman and FSA in 1995.
Among the local banks, NBO was the first bank to provide asset management, investment banking and brokerage services on the MSX. The Investment Banking Division has also introduced new instruments and solutions to the capital market, and continues to manage three other mutual funds the NBO GCC Fund, the NBO Money Market Fund, and the NBO Global Fixed Income Fund.
