Ramadan at the American School of Bahrain has always been more than a season — it is a lived expression of language, faith, and community.
Throughout the holy month, students engage in Ramadan-themed projects, cultural displays, Gergaoon celebrations, and classroom experiences that connect Arabic learning with the values of reflection, generosity, and service — while families come together through the Parents Association–hosted Ghabga, reinforcing the partnership between home and school.
ASB’s Service-Learning theme, Building a Caring Community, has brought families together year after year to donate food, clothing, toys, and books to support those in need, with students and volunteers leading sorting and distribution efforts.
