The American School of Bahrain (ASB) celebrated the graduation of 53 students in the Class of 2026 during a ceremony held at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, in the presence of Ms. Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, alongside a number of officials, members of the teaching and administrative teams, and parents.
Mr. Dave McMaster, Director of the American School of Bahrain, said that the Class of 2026 includes a distinguished group of students who demonstrated ambition, commitment, and a strong sense of responsibility throughout their educational journey. He highlighted the school’s commitment to ensuring that students are academically prepared, globally aware, and capable of contributing positively to their communities as they move into new stages of their lives. He also praised the continued role of the Ministry of Education in supporting the educational environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain and its commitment to enhancing the quality of education across schools in the Kingdom throughout the academic year.
Dr. Juan Saavedra, Middle and High School Principal at the school, congratulated the graduates and expressed his pride in the strong results achieved by this class. He also shared his anticipation to see them continue their university journeys with confidence, ambition, and passion. He noted the school’s pride in students from this class receiving acceptances to leading international universities and educational institutions, including Imperial College London, University College London, King’s College London, Durham University, the University of Toronto, the University of Michigan, Delft University of Technology, Pennsylvania State University, the University of Texas at Austin, Temple University Japan, and other global academic institutions.
Established in 2020, the American School of Bahrain offers a comprehensive American and international educational programme, alongside the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. The school focuses on academic excellence, innovation, global-mindedness, balance, community leadership, and respect for cultures. The school has also received an “Outstanding” rating from Bahrain’s Education and Training Quality Authority.
