Ajman, United Arab Emirates – October 2026: As part of its strategic efforts to diversify tourism source markets and expand its international reach, the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is conducting a promotional roadshow across Central Asia from 12 to 16 October, with dedicated events in Tashkent on 13 October and Almaty on 15 October.
The roadshow aims to strengthen direct engagement with key travel and tourism partners, showcase Ajman’s diverse destination offering, and explore new opportunities for cooperation and strategic partnerships across two promising markets. The initiative also supports the Department’s wider efforts to broaden its international partner network and strengthen Ajman’s visibility among new visitor segments.
Throughout the roadshow, the Department will highlight the breadth of Ajman’s tourism proposition, from its cultural and heritage assets and natural attractions to its hospitality, family experiences and leisure offering. This diversity enables the emirate to appeal to a wide range of traveller interests while reinforcing its position as an accessible, distinctive and year-round destination.
HE Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, said: “Promotional roadshows play an important role in building long-term relationships with travel and tourism partners and strengthening Ajman’s presence across international markets. Through our visits to Tashkent and Almaty, we aim to deepen engagement with the travel trade, identify new opportunities for cooperation, and introduce more audiences to Ajman’s distinctive tourism experiences.”
He added, “Central Asia represents a valuable opportunity within our broader market diversification strategy. By building direct relationships with partners in these markets, we are supporting sustainable visitor growth, expanding Ajman’s international reach and strengthening the competitiveness of the emirate’s tourism sector.”
The Central Asia roadshow builds on a series of promotional initiatives the Department has conducted across Europe, India and China. It reflects a targeted approach to market diversification, international partnership development and sustained tourism growth, further reinforcing Ajman’s position on the regional and global tourism map.
