Initiative supports Bahrain Bourse’s 2026–2028 Capital Market Development Plan to deepen liquidity, diversify market offerings and strengthen capital formation

Abu Dhabi, UAE – November 2026: Al Ramz Capital L.L.C. has been appointed to manage an AED390 million Market Making Fund to be launched by Bahrain Bourse, in strategic partnership with Mumtalakat, Osool, BBK and NBB.  Bringing together institutional partnership and Al Ramz’s market-making expertise, the initiative aims to deepen liquidity and make the market more attractive to investors and companies seeking to list.

The partnership was marked by a signing ceremony, with market-making activities. Al Ramz brings more than ten years of regional experience in market making and liquidity provision, supported by strong governance, to deepen the market and improve price discovery.  Its expertise is complemented by quantitative tools and automated trading strategies that help narrow the gap between buying and selling prices, making trading more efficient for investors.

This focus on liquidity supports Bahrain Bourse’s 2028 Capital Market Development Plan, “Elevate”.  Alongside measures to deepen liquidity, the plan combines an expanded IPO pipeline and new investment products with regulatory and corporate realignment, enhanced issuer and investor engagement, and digital readiness.  Its ambition is to diversify market offerings and streamline operations, creating a more competitive, transparent, resilient and accessible market that attracts a broader investor base and is better prepared for a potential reclassification and upgrade.

Al Ramz’s role in that ambition began in 2025, when Bahrain Bourse appointed Al Ramz Corporation as financial adviser to help formulate a comprehensive capital market development plan.  Al Ramz Capital also secured its Bahrain Bourse market-maker license that year.  The appointment now brings its strategic advisory experience and market-making capabilities together to support the delivery of the exchange’s development priorities.

That combination of strategic advice and practical delivery also defines Al Ramz’s wider regional work.  A leading market maker and liquidity provider, the Group has expanded across GCC capital markets through market-making, exchange advisory and capital market development mandates, including in Oman and Bahrain.  Its regional experience, trading technology and governance underpin its role as a trusted partner in developing these markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Haisam Odeimeh, Group CEO Financial Services, Al Ramz, said: “We are proud to have been entrusted with this important responsibility by Bahrain Bourse and its strategic partners.  We recognise the responsibility that comes with it: deeper liquidity is fundamental to investor confidence, successful capital formation and the delivery of Bahrain Bourse’s strategic ambitions.  Having contributed to the formulation of the capital market development plan, we are committed to bringing our regional expertise and institutional capabilities to its implementation.  Working alongside Bahrain Bourse, Mumtalakat, Osool, BBK and NBB, we look forward to supporting a more dynamic and competitive market that attracts investment, encourages listings and contributes to Bahrain’s long-term economic growth.”

The collaboration between Bahrain Bourse, the strategic partners and Al Ramz reflects the spirit of “Team Bahrain”: bringing institutions and expertise together in pursuit of shared economic goals.  In line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and national priorities for economic recovery and sustainable development, the mandate aims to strengthen capital markets as a driver of growth and diversification, attracting investment and helping businesses raise the capital they need to grow.
