Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, stated that, thanks to the wise vision of the UAE’s leadership, Emirati women are living in their golden era. They are not just active partners but the essential driving force behind the nation’s development journey, representing the fundamental pillar for a sustainable and prosperous future for the UAE.

On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, Her Excellency said: “The UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has pioneered an innovative global model for women’s empowerment. This model goes beyond simply opening doors; it stems from a profound confidence in the capabilities of Emirati women and a commitment to equipping them with science and knowledge. This empowers them to be an effective force today, brimming with creativity and innovation, and spearheading progress across all sectors.”

Her Excellency praised the historic efforts led by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), saying: “The remarkable achievements of Emirati women today stem from an exceptional vision and the dedication of the Mother of the Nation, who championed the capabilities of the Daughters of Zayed since the earliest days of the Union. The ‘We Plant for Sustainability’ initiative, launched by the General Women’s Union under Her Highness’s patronage, perfectly exemplifies this approach. This pioneering initiative links women’s empowerment in the agricultural sector with enhanced food security and environmental sustainability, reaffirming that women are the foundation of stable and prosperous societies.”

H.E. added: “The model of women’s empowerment in the UAE, whose foundations were laid by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and nurtured by the Mother of the Nation, has turned into a global success story. This demonstrates that Emirati women have proven their merit and their ability to contribute and lead in all fields.”

Her Excellency concluded: “My message to every ambitious Emirati woman is: You are the beating heart of this nation, and your success stories in every field are a source of inspiration for us all. Your country is proud of you, and your leadership believes in your limitless capabilities. Continue to create, lead, and give, for you are the fundamental pillar for a more prosperous and sustainable future for our nation.”
