Arada secures its first Australian planning approval, marking the first of multiple projects planned for Sydney’s Inner Southwest region

Designed by Woods Bagot, 33-floor London Place development to comprise 156 apartments

Construction on AED560m project to commence in Q2 2027

Dubai, UAE:October 2026 – UAE-based master developer Arada has received approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure in Sydney, Australia, for London Place, a 33-floor residential development in the heart of Campsie, one of the city’s most dynamic urban districts.
The decision is a major milestone for Arada in Australia, marking the company’s first project approval as well as its ambition to play a significant role in the regeneration of one of Sydney’s emerging urban corridors. London Place is the first of five projects Arada is planning for the area, with each development contributing to housing supply and community renewal across the district.
Designed by Woods Bagot, London Place will comprise 156 apartments across 33 floors, with 18 designated as affordable housing. The unit mix spans two-, three- and four-bedroom residences, including sub-penthouse and penthouse homes on the upper floors.
Residents will have access to a comprehensive level of high-quality amenities, including a lounge, private dining room, music room and gym, alongside a covered BBQ terrace, lap pool, spa, sauna and outdoor seating areas.
With a gross development value of AED560 million, construction is targeted to commence in the second quarter of 2027, with completion expected by the fourth quarter of 2029.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “When we look at where to build, we are drawn to places with genuine potential: communities that are on the cusp of something special, where the right investment at the right moment can make a genuine difference. Campsie is that exactly that kind of community, and London Place is the first of five projects we are planning for Sydney’s Inner Southwest region, which together represent a long-term commitment to the area. Our ambition in Australia is significant and strategic, and this approval gives us real momentum as we bring our broader pipeline forward.”
London Place arrives at a defining moment for the suburb. Campsie is undergoing one of the most significant urban transformations in Sydney’s inner south-west, anchored by the imminent opening of Campsie Metro Station. For residents of London Place, Sydney’s CBD will be reachable by metro in under 20 minutes, placing the full range of the city’s employment, cultural and lifestyle assets firmly on the doorstep.
Approval for London Place followed the NSW Housing Delivery Authority (HDA)’s recognition of the project as a State Significant Development (SSD), which enables a streamlined pathway through the planning process for major housing projects. Secured concurrently with a rezoning of the site, approval was achieved in under four months, well within the HDA’s benchmark target of 275 days.
