New weekend Gold CFD gives traders access to XAU/USD seven days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays.
More than 100 US share CFDs will now trade continuously throughout the trading week with expanded 24/5 market access.
Expanded trading hours reflect a market increasingly shaped by after-hours earnings, geopolitical developments and global macro events.
Dubai, August 2026- Financial markets are becoming increasingly continuous. Corporate earnings from some of the world’s largest companies are routinely released after US market hours, while geopolitical developments, central bank signals and macroeconomic events often unfold overnight or during weekends, leaving investors waiting for markets to reopen before they can navigate changing market conditions.
Against this backdrop, FOREX.com – part of StoneX Group Inc. and the recipient of the “Most Trusted Broker” Award at Forex Expo Dubai 2025 – is expanding market access beyond traditional trading hours through the launch of XAU/USD 7-Day, a new Gold CFD available for trading seven days a week, alongside an expansion of its 24/5 US share CFD offering to include more than 100 US-listed companies.
The launch reflects a broader structural shift in global markets, where the timing of information increasingly matters as much as the information itself. Investors are seeking greater flexibility to manage positions as events unfold rather than waiting for conventional market sessions to resume.
The new XAU/USD 7-Day CFD market enables clients to trade gold on Saturdays and Sundays in addition to the standard trading week. Operating as a separate market from the traditional weekday XAU/USD contract, it allows traders to open, manage and close positions throughout the weekend, while positions remain independent from the standard gold market. No additional financing charges apply to positions held during Saturday and Sunday, although weekend trading may experience wider spreads and price gaps, particularly during periods of heightened volatility.
At the same time, FOREX.com is expanding its 24/5 trading offering to more than 100 US share CFDs, allowing continuous trading from Monday 08:00 UTC until Friday 21:00 UTC without the daily interruptions previously applied to these products. The expanded universe includes leading US-listed companies such as Micron Technology and Nike, while continuing to offer zero commission on share CFDs, with spreads applying.
The expansion comes as global markets continue to react rapidly to developments that rarely conform to exchange opening hours. Major earnings announcements from mega-cap US companies are frequently published after Wall Street closes, while ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, inflation expectations and shifting monetary policy outlooks continue to drive interconnected moves across US equities, precious metals and broader financial markets.
Macroeconomic forces have overtaken traditional safe-haven dynamics in precious metals. Despite heightened geopolitical uncertainty, gold and silver remain under pressure as a resilient US dollar and elevated Treasury yields continue to weigh on prices, while long-term technical levels suggest the coming months could prove decisive for both metals.
Commenting on the evolving market landscape, Razan Hilal, Market Analyst, CMT at FOREX.com, said: “Markets no longer pause when exchanges close. Whether it’s a major earnings release after Wall Street’s closing bell, a geopolitical development over the weekend or shifting expectations around inflation and interest rates, market-moving events increasingly happen outside traditional trading hours. As volatility becomes more continuous across asset classes, the traditional boundaries of the trading day are becoming less reflective of how global markets actually move.”
Ritu Singh, Regional Business Director, Middle East & Africa, StoneX Self-Directed, said: “UAE and the rest of GCC is at the intersection of global financial markets, where our clients are increasingly seeking the ability to react to market and geo-political events as they unfold. The launch of XAU/USD 7-Day and expanded 24/5 share trading is about more than extended market access; it is about providing traders with additional tools to manage exposure and respond to risk and opportunity outside traditional trading hours. As markets become increasingly interconnected, flexibility and timely access can play an important role in both potential opportunity capture and risk management.”
The expanded trading schedule forms part of FOREX.com’s continued focus on providing clients with broader market access, enabling traders to access more effectively to an increasingly interconnected global financial landscape where opportunities – and risks – extend well beyond the traditional trading day.
