Aster Clinics plan to expand to over 100 facilities across UAE by 2030, as demand for Primary Care surges

Aster Clinics UAE, the largest private primary care network under the Aster DM Healthcare GCC group, is strengthening its long-term commitment to the country through sustained expansion, enhanced clinical capabilities, and deeper community integration.

As part of this next phase of growth, Aster Clinics UAE plans to expand its network from 85 to over 100 facilities across the UAE by 2030, through a combination of multiple expanded clinics and  new clinics. The expansion is expected to increase staff strength to 4100 across the UAE and is backed by an investment commitment of AED 100 million. The new facilities will introduce specialty centres, strengthen in-clinic diagnostics, and integrate digital and smart health solutions through myAster, alongside expanded homecare and personalised care services.

The expansion is being driven by sustained growth in patient demand, with annual footfall across the clinics network increasing by 15% over the past year.

In parallel, Aster Clinics is strengthening its clinical depth through targeted specialty-led expansion models. This includes scaling its diabetes care capabilities through a “clinic within clinics” model, enabling integrated, accessible management of chronic conditions across its network, addition of Orthopaedics and Physiotherapy strength to provide comprehensive orthopedic care for all bone and joint related issues in one place .

The organisation remains focused on advancing its integrated care model while investing in accessible, community-based healthcare across all Emirates.

The UAE outpatient segment accounts for over 70% of total healthcare interactions, reinforcing the critical role of primary care networks in delivering accessible, first-contact care.[1] This growing demand continues to reinforce the relevance of Aster’s extensive primary care network across the UAE.

Aster Clinics UAE operates a network of 85 clinics across the Emirates, supported by 13 Access Clinics, 2 clinics in Bahrain forming one of the most extensive primary healthcare platforms in the country. Across the GCC, Aster’s clinic network stands at over 100 clinics, reflecting the scale of its regional footprint and its ability to ensure continuity of care across diverse communities.

Speaking on the organisation’s outlook, Ms. Alisha Moopen, Managing Director and Group CEO, Aster DM Healthcare, said: “The UAE continues to be a cornerstone market for Aster’s long-term strategy. Our confidence in this market is rooted in its strong fundamentals, progressive healthcare ecosystem, and clear national vision for integrated care delivery. Our approach remains focused on building a sustainable, scalable healthcare model that combines clinical excellence, digital innovation, and community-centric care.”

Building on this foundation, Aster’s next phase of growth is driven by a structured expansion strategy focused on geographic reach and clinical depth. The recent launch of Aster Clinic Jaddaf has strengthened access within a rapidly growing residential hub, while specialised centres such as the Aster Diabetes 360 Care Clinic and Aster Children’s Clinic in Dubai Silicon Oasis reflect a targeted approach to lifecycle-based and family-centric care.

The organisation continues to enhance capacity across its existing network, including the expansion of the Aster Orthopaedic Clinic in Qusais and strengthened women’s health services at Aster Clinic Gardens, supported by expanded radiology capabilities.

Dr. Sherbaz Bichu, CEO of Aster Hospitals & Clinics (UAE, Bahrain & Oman), said “We are humbled by the trust our communities continue to place in Aster Clinics, and this expansion is our way of honouring that trust with even greater compassion. Healthcare should never be a privilege — it is a right that belongs to every individual, regardless of background or means. As we grow, our commitment remains rooted in bringing quality care closer to the people who need it most, ensuring it is not just accessible, but genuinely affordable across every stratum of society. This expansion reflects our promise to treat every patient well, and reaffirms our shared responsibility, alongside the nation’s vision, to build a healthcare ecosystem where no community is left behind.”

Aster’s growth remains aligned with the UAE’s efforts to enhance preventive, and digitally enabled care. Its digital platform, myAster, enables teleconsultations and continuity across patient journeys, while Aster @Home extends consultations, diagnostics, and nursing care directly to patients’ homes, hotels, or office premises, making quality care easily accessible. The Group is also expanding its wellness portfolio with solutions such as IV therapies and is planning to introduce peptide-based treatments as part of its broader focus on preventive and personalised care.

Initiatives such as Care for Her, a personalized and curated holistic women’s health and wellness program, and Age Well with Aster, a comprehensive senior care program, further reflect growing demand for personalised and preventive healthcare services.

Looking ahead, Aster Clinics UAE’s expansion outlook remains robust, with continued investments in capacity enhancement, express clinics in high-density areas, and the development of Neubridge Diagnostics to strengthen diagnostic capabilities across its ecosystem.

Aster Clinics UAE is set to further scale its network footprint through a phased expansion strategy, targeting high-density residential corridors and emerging communities across the Emirates, in line with population growth and evolving primary care demand.

The UAE’s growing population and expansion of residential communities are driving demand for neighbourhood-based “10–15 minute access” healthcare models, reinforcing the relevance of Aster’s distributed clinic network.

Mr. Manish Jain, Deputy Chief Executive  Officer – Aster & Access Clinics UAE and Bahrain, added: “Our growth approach is structured and community-driven. Alongside expanding into new locations, we are equally focused on strengthening capabilities within our existing network. This ensures that every phase of growth enhances both accessibility and clinical value for our patients.”

Aster Clinics’ continued growth reflects a broader transformation in healthcare delivery across the UAE, with increasing emphasis on decentralised, preventive, and integrated care supported by strong diagnostic and digital ecosystems. With a well-established network, a clearly defined expansion pipeline, and sustained investment momentum, Aster Clinics UAE remains well positioned to play a leading role in the next phase of healthcare delivery in the country.
