Big 5 Construct Egypt, co-located with Egypt Infrastructure Expo, kick off today at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, bringing together key stakeholders from the construction and infrastructure sectors for three days of business networking, product sourcing and industry knowledge exchange.
Held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Moustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and supported by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities & Urban Communities, the co-located events run until 25 June and feature more than 300 exhibitors from over 15 countries.
The exhibition comes at a time when Egypt’s construction and infrastructure market continues to attract significant investment, supported by a project pipeline valued at $565.5 billion, making it the third-largest in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Leading regional and international companies are showcasing products, technologies and services across the construction value chain, while dedicated conference programmes provide insights into project delivery, sustainability, digital transformation and infrastructure development.
A key feature of this year’s event is the EcoTrail initiative, highlighting exhibitors presenting sustainable materials, energy-efficient technologies and environmentally conscious construction solutions.
The CPD-certified Big 5 Talks programme will host more than 35 sessions covering topics such as BIM, project management, HVACR, architecture, design and sustainability. Meanwhile, the Egypt Infrastructure Expo Leadership Sessions will explore the country’s infrastructure priorities for 2026 to 2030, public-private partnership opportunities and the role of technology in shaping future projects.
Commenting on the opening, Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President at dmg events, said “Egypt’s project pipeline is among the most active in the region, with demand for both local expertise and international solutions continuing to grow. Beyond the scale of the event, it is the quality of connections, conversations and partnerships that translate ambition into delivery. We look forward to seeing these take shape on the exhibition floor next week.”
The events are open to trade and industry professionals aged 18 and over and are expected to attract contractors, developers, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers and government representatives from across the region.
