Dubai, United Arab Emirates,April 2026: Cognita Middle East launched a new industry-leading initiative in partnership with Power Club, a global platform for real-world student learning, with hundreds of students across its UAE schools already participating. The programme is designed for students in Years 6 to 9 and focuses on real-world industry-connected learning experiences.

The initiative forms part of Cognita Middle East’s enhanced online learning offering and reflects a continued focus on delivering high-quality, future-focused education. It integrates online learning with hands-on, interdisciplinary project-based challenges, enabling students to develop their inquiry and creativity skills by identifying real-world problems and designing practical solutions.

The programme is structured as a series of ongoing, expert-led challenges, with students progressing through a consistent format that includes a launch session, a check-in and a final submission, all delivered through a dedicated platform that tracks progress. Working independently or in groups, students develop ideas and solutions while applying creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to real-world scenarios.

In its first week, students in Years 6 to 9 explored key areas of growing relevance, including animation, game design, entrepreneurship and automobile engineering, engaging in challenges developed in collaboration with professionals from leading global organisations and industry pioneers such as NASA, Framestore, EA Games andTesla.

Guided through a structured, evidence-based approach and supported by global industry experts and masterclasses, students deepen their knowledge in a specific topic while transforming ideas into well-developed, meaningful projects.

Glen Radojkovich, Managing Director, Cognita, UAE, said: “Across our Cognita UAE schools and through our partnership with Power Club,  we are elevating online learning through meaningful, real-world projects,  enriched by guidance from industry experts, and enhanced by research-driven approaches shaped by our global educational expertise. These interdisciplinary experiences are designed to elevate both the quality and impact of students’ learning,  enabling them to deepen their inquiry, creativity and curiosity,  and thrive.”

As part of the experience, selected work will be shared directly with industry experts for feedback, offering students a valuable perspective on how their thinking and approach align with professional practice. Alongside this, students will build key transferable skills, explore their interests more deeply, strengthen core curriculum skills, and gain insight into potential future pathways, while also creating project work that can contribute to their developing portfolios.

Reflecting on his experience, Justin, a Year 9 student at Repton Dubai who took part in the Automotive Engineering Challenge, said: “It went really well! Since using the AI simulation to review my design, it has really helped me to see my mistakes and improve my steering wheel design.”

By combining digital learning with applied experiences, Cognita is equipping students with the skills to apply their learning in meaningful ways beyond the classroom.

This initiative builds on Cognita’s recently launched Learning Continuity and Connection Programme, further enhancing its online learning offering. Through partnerships with organisations such as Power Club, it strengthens and broadens opportunities to deliver future-focused experiences, equipping students with the skills and insights needed for their future careers.

As UAE education authorities implement structured online learning periods, Cognita’s approach is aligned with the UAE’s strong digital infrastructure and preparedness, ensuring students remain supported and engaged.
