From The Lobster Lounge to the return of the resort’s amazing shisha selection, the much-loved property is prepared to deliver a bold and unique take on social dining with a creative and innovative flair.
Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort welcomes Executive Chef, Reiner Lupfer
The new additions follow the recent appointment of Reiner Lupfer, the new Executive Chef in charge of Food and Beverage at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort. With a culinary degree from the Claude Dornier Hotel Management & Culinary Institute of Germany and over 25 years of experiences under his belt, Chef Lupfer brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
His professional vigour and culinary creativity has seen him through impressive positions at some of the world’s leading hotels and restaurants as well as several world class accolades. At the young age of 23, he was awarded 1-Michelin Star and 16 points in the Guild Gault Millau during his tenure at Heinzler, Germany.
Speaking of his appointment, Chef Reiner Lupfer said, “I’m honoured to be joining the incredible team at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort and excited for the amazing things we have planned. I’m prepared to bring a fresh take on luxury dining and contribute towards creating memorable experiences that guests will remember for years to come.”
The Lobster Lounge
The Lobster Lounge is the first of several new additions implemented by Chef Reiner. Located on the rooftop, the all-new pop-up concept is outfitted with cool and effortless décor that brings an exceptional, dramatic feel to the resort’s bustling setting and promises dramatic views of the Arabian ocean.
Offering an exceptional selection of dishes, coupled with the perfect beverage pairings, the menu bursts with incredible flavour and assures an unforgettable culinary experience, from a classic Frito Misto including Lobster, Squid and Prawns served with homemade chips and aioli to a heart-warming Lobster Risotto complimented by Parmesan Cloud, fresh Basil and topped with Confit Salmon. The Lobster Lounge will also host a range of signature dishes led by the Langoustine Gnocchi Sardi with a tomato confit as well as Trofie Manchego served with French basil pesto, stewed cherry tomato, espelette chilli and balsamic.
Open from 4:30pm to 12:30am from Wednesdays to Mondays, The Lobster Lounge is the perfect spot in Abu Dhabi for sundowners and for a relaxed evening with friends. Complete with beautifully crafted cocktails made by skilled mixologists and accompanied by laidback lounge music, The Lobster Lounge is set to become the city’s new go-to destination.
Beer Brunch
For Abu Dhabi’s brunch lovers, the resort will also be introducing a new brunch concept set to launch on 30 January, 2021 at Offside Sports Lounge. Enjoy all the fun at the Beer Brunch, available weekly on Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm, for only AED 195 for soft beverages and AED 295 for house beverages. The brunch will feature sharing platters and a choice of ‘winners’, or mains for those less familiar with Offside’s signature term.
Delicious dishes will include, Prawn Bucket, Offside’s Famous Wingers and many more to start, followed by a range of options for mains, from Angus Sliders to Spinach and Feta Pie. Ending the brunch on the sweetest note, guests will have their pick from the most Instagrammable dessert platter available in Abu Dhabi at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island’s Beer Brunch and wash it all down with free-flowing beers and house wine.
Shisha at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort
It gets better! Following a short break and with diligent adherence to the directives and regulations set by the Department of Culture and Tourism, Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island will now resume serving shisha at the resort. Guests can now enjoy the resort’s wide-ranging selection of shisha flavours and combinations at TEAN restaurant with Lobster Lounge set to follow.
White Brunch
Additionally, with the recent return of the White brunch, there is even more for guests to enjoy at the capital’s pristine island getaway. With a large range of delicious island delicacies and succulent seafood dishes, relish in the most wonderous flavours and refreshing beverages at the best brunch in the city.
