Dr. Aishah Al Yammahi, Strategic Advisor at Alef Education said: “Every day, families trust teachers to lay foundations their children will build on for the rest of their lives. On World Teachers’ Day, we recognize the educators who take on that responsibility with great care, and whose influence stays with young people long after they leave the classroom.
Education has been a national priority in the UAE since its founding. The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan believed that the greatest use that can be made of wealth is to invest it in creating generations of educated and trained people. He also understood that future generations would grow up in a very different world, and that they needed to be prepared for it.
Decades later, his vision has proven right. Artificial intelligence is already part of how children learn and look for information, and it is shaping the jobs many of them will go on to do. The UAE recognized this early and introduced AI as a formal subject in public schools, from kindergarten to Grade 12.
While learning to use AI tools is the easier part, the real challenge lies in teaching students to question the answers they are given, to use the technology responsibly and to know when human judgment should come first. That understanding is built in the classroom, and it comes from teachers.
At Alef Education, we build our platforms to support that work. Today, our solutions support more than 90,000 educators across over 20,000 schools and more than two million registered students, including students across Abu Dhabi’s public school system.
To every teacher in the UAE and around the world, thank you for the work you do every day. We are proud to work alongside you.”
