Dubai, UAE: du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), organized an exclusive Ramadan gathering in association with the Community Development Authority (CDA) for UAE National senior citizens. It was attended by Huraiz Almur Bin Huraiz, CEO of Social Care and Development Sector at the CDA, and senior executives and employees from both CDA and du. The event was part of du’s #KindnessConnectsUs campaign that celebrates the principles and spirit of Ramadan. Emphasizing the universal language of kindness throughout the holy month, the campaign encourages people to contribute to the local community and make a positive impact on society.
Speaking on the occasion, Adel Al Raees, Head of Corporate Communications & Protocol at du, said: “Our longstanding collaboration with CDA is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of social responsibility and encourage people to actively contribute to the betterment of society. Through our Ramadan campaign, du aims to inspire people to spread kindness and compassion during the holy month and provide an opportunity for individuals to come together and connect with each other through acts of kindness. Today’s event helped to foster a sense of community and inspire individuals to make a positive impact in their own lives and the lives of others.”
The CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans. In collaboration with du, this event incorporated group activities designed to boost team spirit while giving back to the community, such as games, quizzes on Islamic history, wellness and sustainability, as well as a raffle draw with exciting prizes up for grabs. The event provided an opportunity for seniors and younger generations to connect in a meaningful celebration of community spirit and inclusivity.

About Community Development Authority:
The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.
CDA is in charge for the overall supervision to achieve social sector outputs, and provide the provisions of social services in order to create an integrated and efficient management system for the development of social services in the emirate. This includes the preparation, execution, and supervision of comprehensive strategic plans, and proposing legislation related to social services to improve the outputs of the social development sector.
