Dubai Chamber of Commerce promotes constructive collaboration between Knowledge and Human Development Authority and Education Working Group

Dubai : The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has organised a joint meeting between the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and the Education Working Group (EWG) to discuss ways to develop joint cooperation to improve the performance of the private school sector in the Emirate of Dubai and enhance its prospects for sustainable growth.

The meeting reviewed the role and objectives of the Education Working Group, launched by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in March 2020, and discussed ways to enhance joint work mechanisms and highlight the steps required to support the development and growth of the private schools sector in the emirate.

The list of members of the Education Working Group, which is part of the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, includes the largest private schools in Dubai, as the group aims to strengthen the work system of private schools in Dubai, and stimulate their development in an integrated and sustainable manner, which contributes to supporting the education sector as a whole and improving its outcomes.

Her Excellency Aisha Abdulla Meeran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), said: “We thank the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and the Education Working Group for their tireless efforts to establish effective cooperation between stakeholders in the education system in the Emirate of Dubai, and we appreciate their role in promoting channels of positive dialogue with educational service providers in a way that takes into account the interests of all parties, meets our common goals, contributes to meeting the needs of students, and moves forward towards building sustainable educational partnerships with our partners in the private sector. From the vision of the wise leadership, which places education at the top of priorities, and in line with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Social Agenda 33”.

“The continuous growth of Dubai’s private education sector demonstrates its attractiveness and position as a preferred destination for investors, students and teachers locally, regionally and internationally to provide world-class educational options at all levels, sectors and forms, and at the same time it is an indicator of the promising future opportunities that characterize this vital sector, as well as its flexibility and ability to absorb innovative educational solutions and ideas. And its effective contributions to enhancing the competitiveness of education in Dubai globally within an attractive and stimulating environment for doing business and meets the needs of the Emirate of Dubai in line with the comprehensive development process.”

His Excellency Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said: “As a representative of the private sector and an engine of economic growth, Dubai Chamber of Commerce continues to activate the role of business groups in the comprehensive development process witnessed by the emirate, in addition to strengthening channels of dialogue with all stakeholders to meet the requirements of the business sectors and provide all necessary support to companies and investors to take advantage of promising opportunities and deal with challenges.”

The business groups under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce actively contribute to the growth of commercial and economic activities in the emirate, as they ensure the representation of all economic sectors, facilitate mutual dialogue between stakeholders and government entities, and contribute to improving the overall business environment in Dubai.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce plays an active role in supporting business groups by providing an important platform for transparent dialogue between government entities and stakeholders in the relevant sectors on the policies that regulate their sectors, enhancing their competitiveness and increasing their contribution to Dubai’s economy.

Business groups are one of the main pillars of development in the investment environment and the promotion of public-private partnerships. It also represents and protects the interests of all sectors, and plays a vital role in developing appropriate policy and legislative recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of the sectors it represents and help them achieve their goals.
