United Arab Emirates, Dubai: Eurovets – the leading wholesale distributor for the UAE’s animal health industry that offers a comprehensive premium product range for small to large animals collaborated with one of its leading brands F10 to host an event on hand hygiene and biosecurity. The event was held for students and staff at iCademy Middle East – Knowledge Hub, as an effort to increase awareness around hand hygiene and the importance of biosecurity.
The event kicked off with an activity to demonstrate how germs spread from hand to surface and vice versa, when you don’t wash hands properly. This was done using glow germ and UV light. In addition, the Pledge to Hand Hygiene activity used a tree skeleton image. Children were asked to write their names on hand cut outs and paste on the tree as new leaves. In return they received goodie bags from Eurovets/F10.
A team of four experts from Eurovets and F10 were present at the venue to provide perspective on hand hygiene for all in addition to outlining the importance of biosecurity. There was also a presentation on How to Maintain Hand Hygiene.
Mark Gradwell, Business Development Manager from F10 shared his thoughts on the importance of hand hygiene and biosecurity. The event by Eurovets and F10 aimed to raise awareness of hand hygiene at a young age. For this purpose, the company has been engaging with schools in organising various awareness activities around the same.
It has been noted that 3.5 million children globally are affected from diseases related to hand hygiene. Hand Hygiene offers most efficient response to pandemic as it removes germs, reduces health risk, prevent spread of germs and pathogen to others.
