His Excellency Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, highlighted that Zayed Humanitarian Day is a national occasion on which we remember a nation’s journey filled with humanitarian work for all, without discrimination, offering a helping hand to every person in need in various countries around the world.
His Excellency said: “Zayed Humanitarian Day reminds us of the UAE’s commitment to the values of tolerance and giving, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Our wise leadership has followed in his footsteps since the foundation of the union, making the UAE a world leader in humanitarian work.”
He added: “On Zayed Humanitarian Day, we draw inspiration from a core value in our society, which motivates us to enhance our efforts towards achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life for people, to build a more humane world that embodies the vision of our founding fathers and the aspirations of our nation. For the UAE, humanitarian work is an integral part of the approach that has created our global standing and a fundamental pillar in the national partnership between the public and private sectors and various segments of society.”
His Excellency: “As we honour this day, we reemphasise our commitment to promoting the values of tolerance and giving, and we encourage everyone to actively participate in humanitarian work and keep up Zayed’s legacy of limitless generosity.”
