New Regional Leader Will Continue to Support Customers in Modernizing Critical Systems and Building the Foundations for AI-Driven Transformation
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 2026 – Kindrail (NYSE: KD), a leading provider of critical enterprise technology services, today announced the appointment of Majid Waseem as Vice President and General Manager for the Middle East and Africa.
The appointment comes at a time when organizations in the Middle East and Africa are witnessing rapid evolution in their digital transformation journey, as they move towards more AI-driven business models, leveraging cloud, data and proxy AI to enhance their competitiveness, increase agility, and explore new opportunities for growth.
Majid will lead Kindrel’s business in the Middle East and Africa, strengthening strategic relationships with customers and partners, and supporting organizations in developing long-term transformation strategies. In collaboration with local Kindrell teams, he will continue to help customers modernize their technical environments, develop skills and operating models, and enhance the enterprise readiness needed to safely and responsibly scale AI adoption, and achieve tangible, measurable business outcomes.

Majid joins Kendrel from Cognizant, where he served as Vice President of the Middle East. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Technology at one of the region’s leading retailers, where he led its technology strategy and large-scale transformation initiatives. His experience in leading technical operations and achieving business objectives has allowed him to gain valuable perspective from customers, and a first-hand understanding of the needs, opportunities and challenges of organizations as they modernize and adopt emerging technologies.
Majid spent two decades at IBM, during which he held several leadership positions, including as Vice President of Cloud Computing and Cognitive Software, where he supported organizations to accelerate cloud adoption, leverage the potential of data and artificial intelligence, and drive technology-driven innovation.
Majed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Capital University (formerly Helwan University) in Cairo, Egypt, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Manufacturing Systems from Brunel University London in the UK.
