United Arab Emirates, Dubai: Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, District One – part of the master development Meydan – organised a ‘Family Fun Run’, last Friday (19th March), to encourage residents and their families to engage in a healthy and active lifestyle.
The run, for which strict safety measures were in place, started at the Show Village near the Crystal Lagoon beach area and finished at District One community. All participants, including children, parents, senior citizens, and District One staff members, had a fun-filled day with a range of engaging activities, including competitions, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle and sweet treats for children.
A spokesman said: “We were very excited to host the ‘Family Fun Run’ for our community members to encourage them to make the most of the good weather and enjoy the outdoors. Staying active is vital for physical and mental wellbeing, and this event motivated District One residents to adopt a healthy lifestyle and take a break from their busy lives to enjoy time with family.”
