Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government advances efforts to train future leaders with master’s programmes in government transformation, innovation, and policymaking

  • The School’s programmes have produced graduates serving in over 330 organisations in the UAE and abroad.

Dubai, UAE –  July 2026 – The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) has opened the registration period for its Future Government Programmes for academic year 2026-2027, where applications will continue to be accepted until 22 August 2026.

The programmes form part of the School’s ongoing efforts to train and empower government leaders to navigate rapid developments in public administration, policymaking, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) governance, which, in turn, supports the UAE’s vision to build a more future-ready government and strengthen national talents’ ability to spearhead sustainable development. They give professionals from different sectors the opportunity to join a specialised academic environment that combines knowledge with practical application while strengthening leadership and institutional capabilities.

Opening registration for a new academic year builds on MBRSG’s strong academic track record, with its graduates now serving in more than 330 institutions in the UAE and abroad. Around 60% are employed in government and semi-government entities, while the remaining 40% work in the private and non-profit sectors. This success rate reflects the growing impact of the School’s academic programmes in preparing leaders capable of driving change and shaping public policy across various sectors.

His Excellency Dr Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, said: “Our master’s programmes at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government combine academic knowledge with practical application. This approach is rooted in our belief that training government leaders requires education that addresses real-world challenges and aligns their knowledge and capabilities with future priorities.”

“Our academic partnerships with leading international institutions have enabled us to develop programmes that strengthen emerging leaders’ readiness to drive institutional transformation, make informed decisions, and translate knowledge into sustainable development impact,” H.E. Al Marri added.

For his part, Prof. Yousif El-Ghalayini, MBRSG’s Acting Dean of Academic Affairs, Executive Master of Public Administration (MPA) Programme Coordinator: “The academic programmes offered at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government reflect the School’s vision to prepare government leaders who combine specialised knowledge with practical expertise. To achieve these results, we offer modern curricula that respond to the evolving needs of government, while keeping pace with developments in public administration, innovation, and policymaking.”

“Our executive education programmes build on this approach, offering a flexible learning experience that combines academic study with practical application,” Prof. El-Ghalayini explained. “This enables participants to develop effective solutions and strengthen their ability to lead change within their organisations.”

For academic year 2026-2027, MBRSG is offering three specialised master’s programmes: the Master of Public Administration (MPA), Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA), and Master of Innovation Management and AI Governance (MIMAIG). The programmes are designed to meet the needs of government leaders and decision-makers through advanced curricula that acknowledge and adapt to global developments in public administration, governance, innovation, and digital transformation. Combining academic rigour with practical experience, the courses are intended to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to lead their organisations effectively and deliver sustainable impact.

With a flexible learning model that combines in-person and online learning, the programmes enable young leaders to continue developing their academic credentials while meeting their professional commitments. Courses are based on a “learning by doing” approach, including applied projects, case studies, and leadership exercises that simulate real-world challenges. These methods enable participants to translate academic knowledge into practical solutions and effective policies for government organisations.

The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government strengthens its academic offering by engaging highly experienced academics and leading international experts, in addition to establishing strategic partnerships with prestigious academic institutions. Most notably, its long-standing collaboration with the Harvard Kennedy School enhances the quality of its programmes and aligns them with global best practices in public administration, government leadership, and policymaking. This collaboration also ensures programmes remain responsive and adapted to rapid developments in innovation, artificial intelligence, and institutional transformation.

MBRSG invites prospective students to apply for its master’s programmes and benefit from the academic opportunities they have to offer. Applications can be submitted via the following link: https://mbrsg.ae/en/programs/our-programs
