Nine students from The English College receive ‘Highest in the World’ awards with Pearson Edexcel

Dubai, UAE, January, 2025: Students from The English College, part of the International Schools Partnership (iSP), have been recognised with the prestigious Outstanding Pearson Learner and High Achiever Awards. These accolades celebrate students for their exceptional academic achievements across a comprehensive range of Pearson Edexcel examinations including International GCSE, GCSE, AS-level, and A-level.

The English College dominated the 2024 awards, securing an impressive 22 High Achiever Awards and 12 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards. Among these, nine students were bestowed with “Highest in the World,” award, while one student earned “Top in the Region,” and two students received “Top in the Country” honours, showcasing the school’s academic excellence regionally and globally.

Gracing the list of achievers are Asmi, who achieved the highest mark globally in Pearson Edexcel GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level English Literature; Daniela, in GCE Advanced Level Drama and Theatre; Georgia, in International Advanced Subsidiary Mathematics; Laila, in International Advanced Subsidiary Biology; Malak, in GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level Business; and Mia and Rita, in GCSE English Literature and English Language, respectively. Notably, Manuj attained the highest marks worldwide in both International Advanced Subsidiary Chemistry and Mathematics. These exceptional achievements are a testament to the unwavering dedication, talent and hard work of The English College’s students and educators.

Manuj, recipient of two Top of the World Awards, said: “I am truly honoured to receive these prestigious awards. Achieving the highest marks in the world would not have been possible without the exceptional support from my school and teachers. I am deeply grateful for their guidance and encouragement. This recognition motivates me to continue pushing myself to excel in my academic journey and future pursuits.”

Star International School, Mirdif and Reach British School in Abu Dhabi also celebrated student successes in the exams. Three students from Star International School, Mirdif, earned High Achiever Awards, while four students from Reach British School received the same accolade.

The students at Park House English School, an iSP school in Qatar, also demonstrated extraordinary results with students securing the Highest Mark in Qatar for IGCSE French, AS Economics, IGCSE P.E. and IGCSE Art & Design, and one student achieving the Highest Mark in the world for AS Business. The school also celebrated the success of 38 students who earned High Achiever Awards.
