Like the popular Phone (2a), the Phone (3a) series features an advanced triple camera system with optical zoom, a powerful Snapdragon® processor, a brighter, more responsive screen, and Nothing OS innovations like Essential Space, all in two unique designs. Design The Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro have a more sophisticated look and feel with an improved glass back, greater internal body symmetry, and fine visual details and touches. The design celebrates each new camera system with Nothing details, distinctive design and cutting–edge engineering, while precisely improving the integration of physical elements.
The Phone (3a) Series also received an upgrade in durability to an IP64 rating and achieved Nothing‘s lowest carbon footprint in smartphones to date at 51.3 kg of CO2 equivalent. Camera The Phone (3a) Series features Nothing‘s most advanced camera system yet, with an advanced 50MP main sensor and an ultra–wide Sony sensor, as well as optical zoom for the first time. It‘s all powered by the TrueLens 3.0 engine, which combines advanced computational algorithms, AI processing and multi–frame technology to deliver professional, realistic photographs. A telephoto optical range twice as close lays the foundation for high–quality magnification, while high resolution enables up to 4x magnification without losing the magnification power within the sensor. And when you need to zoom in further, the Phone (3a) uses AI–enhanced algorithms for up to 30x super magnification. Periscope camera on Phone (3a) Pro The groundbreaking telephoto zoom meets sheer versatility and powerful telephoto zoom in the Phone (3a) Pro.
It is a complete hardware upgrade, combining a large 1/1.95–inch Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with a focal length of 70mm and f/2.55 aperture. This provides excellent zoom and much more. Thanks to optical image stabilization, the Phone‘s (3a) Pro’s periscope camera can capture high–quality images in all lighting conditions, both indoor and at night, while a 3x more optical zoom will be a favorite for photographers with an optimal focal length for portraits. The 50MP high–resolution sensor provides up to 6x lossless detail within the sensor, and when enhanced with AI clarity enhancement algorithms, it provides 60x more super zoom. The 50MP main sensor on the Phone (3a) Pro elevates the shooting experience with advanced sensor technologies, providing 43% faster autofocus and doubling the entire pixel capacity, allowing for more detail in harsh lighting conditions. The ultra–wide camera in the Phone (3a) Series at zoom in features a field of view of 120°, allowing you to capture more space in each frame, while the updated Sony sensor improves performance in low light. Front Camera Finally, the Phone (3a) features a 32MP front camera, while the Phone (3a) Pro has an upgraded 50MP front camera capable of recording high–quality 4K video with adaptive AI stabilization, night video resolution, brightness enhancement by over 74.4% and noise reduction by 33.7%.

The Phone (3a) Series is 92% better at handling AI tasks than the Phone (2a), making it more prepared for any future AI advancements. It also takes full advantage of the benefits of Nothing OS and Essential Space, saving you time performing tasks like voice–to–text on your phone. RAM Booster uses a combination of physical and virtual RAM to allow users to access up to 20GB, as well as a larger 4500mm2 thermal chamber that reduces the temperature of the phone by 23% compared to the Phone (2a). Display The immersive and gorgeous Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro displays strike a balance between size and quality, measuring 6.77 inches allowing more space for content displayed on the screen. Because they are slightly longer and at approximate angles than previous Nothing phones, the Phone (3a) Series screens provide the sophistication and confidence of second–generation phones. The display has Full HD+ resolution to give you clear images with 387pixels per inch of the screen and a smooth adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. The standard touch sampling rate is 480Hz, a 100% increase compared to the Phone (2a) and the touch sampling rate is 1000Hz in gaming mode, where the swipe in the Phone (3a) Series is smooth and responsive.
Turn on the auto–brightness feature and the screen brightness of your Phone (3a) will reach 1300 nits, making it clear to see under bright sunlight. The maximum screen brightness now reaches 3,000 nits, an increase of 131% compared to the Phone (2a). Nothing OS Nothing OS 3.1 is a fast, seamless foundation built for stability, usefulness, and customization, built with Android 15. It also got updates for the Nothing Gallery, Camera, and Weather apps. The Phone (3a) Series offers a new level of personalization.
You can eliminate distractions with a monochrome theme and hide app labels to arrange the home screen, customize the lock screen and quick settings so you have everything you need at your fingertips, and even change your apps. It reduces the complexity of recording and retrieving content, and is able to retrieve, process and remember it just like a second memory. To ensure that the Essential Space hub is always one click away, Nothing has created the Essential key.
It’s easy to find and tap with your thumb, and it‘s located on the right side of the Phone (3a) Series. Just press the Essential key to record content and send it to Essential Space, long press to record a voice note and double–click to go directly to all your saved content. Nothing evolves thanks to its community, as well as the Essential Space Center. For this reason, early access to Essential Space will be available to all customers who purchase a Phone (3a) or Phone (3a) Pro.
Early access will open the doors to the full Essential Space experience, which includes upcoming features scheduled to launch in the coming months such as Camera Capture, Smart Collections, Focused Search and Flip to Record.
