Ramadan Heroes continues to empower the spirit of giving

Dubai, UAE: The Ramadan Heroes campaign, launched by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) in cooperation with its partners talabat, Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) and the UAE Food Bank to support labourers and needy families across the UAE during the holy month, continued to encourage humanitarian work and contributions, benefitting over 34,000 people since its launch.

Since the launch of the Ramadan Heroes campaign, the beneficiaries received Iftar meals and talabat Mart Ramadan boxes with a total value of AED 268,810 from contributions by pioneers of charitable and humanitarian work, institutions and individuals throughout the country, reflecting the values of giving, cohesion and solidarity in the Emirati society.

Iftar meals and talabat Mart Ramadan Boxes can be purchased through the talabat application that would be delivered in coordination with the campaign’s partners, talabat, ERC, and the UAE Food Bank. Dubai Culture expects contributions to maintain momentum until the end of the holy month.

This campaign falls under the umbrella of Dubai Culture’s humanitarian community initiatives aimed at promoting the spirit of benevolence and spreading the values of giving among society members. It also comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to support the UAE’s agenda of achieving the global sustainable development goals, especially the second goal — ending hunger — as well as of ensuring food security, improving nutrition, and promoting sustainable agriculture. It also seeks to support the 100 Million Meals’ campaign, the largest food drive in the region launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to provide food support to needy individuals and families in the Arab Region, Africa, and Asia as well as to contribute to overcoming global hunger and malnutrition.

Iftar meals and talabat Mart Ramadan boxes are distributed in Dubai, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah through the respective UAE Food Bank branches, while donations in Abu Dhabi are delivered via ERC. Donations to Sharjah and Fujairah are delivered in cooperation with Sharjah Charity Association and Fujairah Charity Association respectively.
