Taqdeer honours 90 assessors for their contribution towards labour award’s success

Dubai: Taqdeer Award, launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, to recognize the best labour welfare by companies in the emirate, has honoured as many as 90 assessors at a special ceremony held in Dubai.

Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai), praised the efforts and important role of the team of assessors in the success of the unique award through their commitment to the standards of transparency and excellence that they have adopted to ensure achieving the goals set for them for the 2nd cycle of the award programme held earlier.

Obaid honored the members of the Award team that supervises the administration of the Award in recognition of their great efforts to achieve its vision, especially after expanding the award scheme to include factory workers and free zones in the Emirate of Dubai, as well as the construction sector.

The award aims to help consolidate Dubai’s ambitions to be a better working place in the world and build successful and productive work partnerships between the employers and workers, preserve their rights and encourage companies to spread a better workers culture and safeguard their rights.
