From November 15 to November 16, the park will host the National Festival of Tolerance & Coexistence, held by the Ministry of Tolerance in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and Korea Festival 2024.
Held at the park’s Amphitheater and in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, this festival celebrates the rich cultures of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea, highlighting the importance of coexistence and harmony.
From captivating K-pop performances, calligraphy sessions in Korean and Arabic, language competitions, and culinary showcases, this weekend offers a vibrant mix of activities for all ages, providing a platform for cultural appreciation and interaction. This is your chance to dive into a unique cultural experience, celebrating traditions and creating unforgettable memories
A major highlight of the festival will be a live performance from K-pop sensation The Wind, lighting up the stage with their biggest hits, bringing their electrifying energy to the park! Fans will also have the exclusive chance for a meet-and-greet with the group, a treat not to be missed for K-pop enthusiasts. The Wind’s performance is a celebration of tolerance and respect that aims to unify both cultures, forming connections through the power of music and movement.
In addition to the Korean workshops, visitors can explore Emirati heritage and culture through interactive sessions featuring traditional crafts, storytelling, and activities that bring Emirati history and customs to life. Adding to the lineup of cultural excitement, there will also be Taekwondo demonstrations, showcasing the skill and precision of this celebrated Korean martial art.

This dedicated garden will showcase a diverse collection of Emirati and Korean trees and plants, symbolizing the flourishing friendship between the two nations.

Umm Al Emarat Park, the largest green space in central Abu Dhabi, is a vibrant, family-friendly community hub. Originally opened in 1982 as Mushrif Central Park for ladies and children, it was renamed to honor the legacy of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
