Muscat, Oman – 22 October 2025: Yango Oman, part of the global technology company Yango Group, has launched ‘She Moves’, a new initiative to empower Omani women through professional training, skill development, and community programs. The initiative supports Oman Vision 2040, aiming to strengthen women’s participation in the workforce, enhance their financial independence, and create new pathways for inclusion within Oman’s growing mobility ecosystem.
The launch event, held in Muscat to mark Omani Women’s Day, spotlighted the achievements of female Otaxi drivers and women who are driving change both on the road and in society. It brought together representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Labour, along with Yango’s leadership, local partners, and members of the media. The event served as a celebration of progress and the beginning of a long-term movement to empower women across Oman.
Sheikha Ambuali, Country Manager of Yango Oman, said: “Women in Oman continue to drive progress across every sector, and mobility is no exception. Through ‘She Moves’, we’re creating tangible pathways for women to gain new skills, earn independently, and contribute to their communities, supporting national efforts toward women’s empowerment and inclusive growth in Oman’s transport sector. This initiative reflects our belief that empowerment starts with opportunity, and our goal is to make those opportunities accessible to every woman who wants to move forward.”
As part of the movement, Yango announced new collaborations to expand opportunities for women and strengthen community support systems. Through ‘She Moves’, Yango will partner with The Myriad Muscat, Oman’s first and largest women-only residential complex, to provide residents with safer, more accessible, women-led transport for thousands of residents while training female drivers from within the community through dedicated training spaces, promotional activities, and awareness programs inside the complex.
In partnership with HIG, Yango’s smart mobility platform will be combined with HIG’s digital services to offer exclusive fuel discounts, complimentary car washes, and specialised vehicle service packages. A dedicated program for female drivers will also be introduced, providing tailored benefits, incentives, and digital tools that reduce operational costs and improve safety and convenience.
Yango Oman’s broader mission has always been to support its drivers and their families through initiatives that improve livelihoods, strengthen financial stability, and enhance access to education and professional growth. By working closely with local partners, the company continues to empower communities, promote equal opportunity, and contribute to Oman’s long-term social and economic progress.
By combining technology with purpose-driven initiatives, Yango reinforces its role as an inclusive, responsible, and forward-looking brand, contributing to Oman Vision 2040’s goal of a more equitable and empowered society. The company invites Omani women from all walks of life to join ‘She Moves’ and participate in its upcoming workshops, development programs, and community activities to build confidence, skills, and financial independence. Yango also welcomes collaborations with public and private entities that share its commitment to a stronger and more inclusive future for women in Oman.
