Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) has won the ‘Website Launch of the Year’ award at the Seamless Middle East 2020 Awards, highlighting the Free Zone’s continuing commitment to improve customer experience through driving digital transformation. The recognition, which consolidates AFZ’s position as a leading global business hub, is also a testament to its website’s superior functionality, ability to provide comprehensive information, and user interactivity that have led to an exceptional number of user visits and lead generation.
Within the first three weeks following its launch on 14th November 2019, AFZ’s website traffic increased from an average of 500 sessions per day to a maximum of 991 sessions. AFZ has also generated 6,127 leads during the period starting from its launch till the end of 2019. Besides, so far in 2020, the website has generated 18,685 leads.

“Our website’s role in driving the Free Zone’s growth is reflected by its conversion rate of 5.3 per cent in 2019 and 10 per cent in 2020 (till date). When customers register with Ajman Free Zone through the website, they are making long term decisions and therefore, these conversions from visit to uptake are not made impulsively within a short timeframe. In fact they are making these decisions after thoroughly examining the pros and cons. In addition, the websites’ seamless user interface and fully responsive versions across all mobiles, tablets and computer systems make it easier for potential customers to access it anytime, anywhere,” he said.
As of January 2020, the total number of visits to the website increased by 97.18 per cent and new users by 93.50 per cent compared to that of January 2019, while page views increased by 79.50 per cent.
