CAIRO, Egypt — S.L.A.C – Petro de Luanda 78-95

Angola’s Petro de Luanda won their fourth straight game defeating Guinea’s S.L.A.C 95-78 and, still undefeated, occupies the top spot in the Nile Conference. They were led by Ater Majok who recorded 15 points and seven rebounds with four other players scoring in double figures. Petro will face Egyptian champion Al Ahly in their last conference game on May 5.

Dane Miller and Emeka Nwabuzor scored 47 points combined for S.L.A.C. With one win in four games, the Guinean champions will have another chance to qualify for the playoffs when they face Al Ahly in their last conference game on May 6.

CFV-Beira – Cape Town Tigers

In a tightly contested second matchup of the night, Mozambique’s CFV-Beira defeated South Africa’s Cape Town Tigers 82-76. Najeal Young led Beira with 26 points, Ismael Nurmamade added 20, and with two wins and two losses Beira is currently third in the conference. Their final game will be against City Oilers on May 5.

Michael Gbinije, Zaire Wade and Evans Ganapamo combined for 54 points for the Tigers, who will face City Oilers in their last conference game on Saturday night.
