Evoking the culinary sophistication and glamour of the South of France, new tasting menu from innovative Chef Kim Joinié-Maurin to take guests on a gastronomic journey of the senses served on the spectacular Jumeirah Al Qasr beachfront

United Arab Emirates, Dubai: Located on the stunning oceanfront of Jumeirah Al Qasr, French Riviera has thoughtfully curated a new expérience gastronomique that perfectly embodies the elegance and soul of the Côte d’Azur through a limited-edition seven-course degustation menu. 

Set against the mesmerising backdrop of the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf and nestled on the pristine white sandy beach, French Riviera offers a mix of classic and modern French Mediterranean food, bursting with freshness and designed for sharing. The new, limited-edition menu is designed to transport diners to the glamourous Mediterranean coast, from St-Tropez to Monte-Carlo, for an evening reminiscent of warm nights on the French Riviera. In addition, guests can enjoy a specially crafted grape list, with perfectly matched options for each dish.

Bringing together traditional and forward-thinking techniques across the seven courses, is one of the world’s most innovative chefs, and former culinary pioneer at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah’s Skyview Bar & Restaurant, Chef Kim Joinié-Maurin. Having worked with the world famous, multi-Michelin star French chef, Joël Robuchon, for more than a decade, Chef Kim has used his wealth of experience in French cooking to craft a truly exceptional menu.

To start, guests can enjoy an indulgent amuse bouche La Pizzetta Truffe topped with Arugula, Crème-Fraîche and fresh Truffle, followed by “Trilogie” composed of Le Crabe shredded Blue Crab in a Mediterranean style, Poulpe thinly sliced Octopusserved with a Black Olive Tapenade, and Betterave de Provence a refreshing duo of beetroot and apple accompanied by a Herb & Basil Mustard Sorbet.Next on the menu is the expertly prepared L’oignon Façon “Tatin” signature caramelized onion with Parmesan Cheese Ice Cream, La Saint Jacques with Fregola pasta drizzled with an orange reduction and an interpretation of the traditional La Bouillabaisse. Guests can choose from two mouth-watering mains; Le Poulet Jaune in a tantalising Arbois emulsion or Le Filet de Boeuf with creamy Mashed Potatoes and a Bourguignon Sauce.

To end their gastronomic experience on a sweet note, guests can savour an assortment of deserts featuring an indulgent Pain Perdu topped with smooth Madagascar Vanilla Ice Cream, a decadent Tarte Au Chocolate and a revisited Millfeuille with rich brown butter ice cream. 

A Frenchman of Australian and Korean heritage, Joinié-Maurin’s multicultural upbringing has seen him experiment with cuisines from around the globe. Over the course of 12 years working at Joël Robuchon restaurants in Las Vegas and Singapore, he has refined his skills and cemented his reputation as one of the world’s most innovative chefs. At French Riviera he aims to channel his experience and creativity into dishes that take guests through the south of France, Spain or Italy, with a single bite.
