The inaugural FUTR World Middle East, a one-of-a-kind festival, will take place for one weekend only between December 9 – 11 at Abu Dhabi’s Manarat Al Saadiyat. 

Created through a partnership between Retail Abu Dhabi, the retail platform of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), MP Singapore and the FUTR Group, Abu Dhabi residents and visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to entertainment, innovation and business with a range of showcases by brands and reimagined experiences that are entirely exclusive to FUTR World.

Designed to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders, FUTR Summit on December 9 welcomes numerous brands and representatives who are making their first ever visit to the UAE. Leaders from luxury department store Harrods, fitness brands T/ALA & SHREDDY, iconic gym-wear label Gymshark and London-based beauty retailer SPACE NK, will all be sharing their most priceless business tips and secrets with FUTR World attendees. 

Furthermore, at FUTR Live, which runs from December 10 to 11, Arrival, the zero-emission electric vehicle specialists, will be presenting an eye-opening visual soundscape created in collaboration with visual artist JoJo. For auto and tech enthusiasts, it will also incorporate Robocar — one of the world’s fastest fully autonomous cars as featured in the Guinness Book of Records. 

Beauty product addicts should look no further as the event will house a FUTR Shop activation. A new Lancome Skincare technology will mark its first appearance in Abu Dhabi with a full demonstration of its ultra-advanced Nexus Machine. This fascinating piece of technology is able to diagnose each individual’s skin type in a flash and recommend bespoke skincare routines that are guaranteed to deliver a perfect complexion. FUTR Shop will star further iconic products from Keihls and Armani Beauty, while worldwide beauty brand Benefit Cosmetics will be showcasing exclusive products, and The Inkey List will be distributing free samples to visitors.

Ruuby, London’s award-winning beauty delivering service, will also offer free incredible makeovers using the latest Boost LED facemasks by Light Salon not seen in the country before and reflexology applying AromatherapyAssociates London oil set to a curated soundscape by Planeswalker, the electronic musical artist. 

The event will also shine light on local talent and artists. Trail-blazing retailers The Giving Movement have harnessed the powers of a new Snapchat AR release to create a forward-thinking method of highlighting their latest ethical activewear collection. Using an innovative smart mirror, fashionistas are able to virtually try on and model the new chic and comfortable range before they commit to buying it. 

Budding chefs also can’t afford to miss the cooking demonstration from MOB Kitchen, the London-based food platform. Currently trending across the UK due to their hearty, comforting, accessible and ultra-tasty recipe ideas, FUTR Live guests will get the chance to meet them in person, taste their amazing dishes and learn more about how they are driving a home-cooking revolution. 

For one weekend only, a pop-up version of New York’s ultra-Instagrammable Museum of Ice Cream exhibition is travelling over to the Middle East to treat Abu Dhabi residents and visitors to its glorious, pastel-coloured display of imaginative fun with a hundreds and thousands ball pit, a cute rideable pink swing and free ice cream samples by Baskin Robbins. It’s an unforgettable experience that will leave guests raving about it for months.

New drops can also be found in a shoppers’ utopia containing rare and non-released pieces, including striking looks from Ounass, Sneaker District, The Luxury ClosetBoom & Mellow and more to be announced very soon. 

The above are just a few of the amazing experiences available at FUTR World. Marking the start of Abu Dhabi Winter Shopping Season, a signature retail campaign that will take place across thousands of stores in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, it’s going to be an unmissable experience. During the season, Retail Abu Dhabi is also bringing to life the first-ever concept store, ‘The Collective’, featuring an eclectic line up of brands throughout the FUTR World initiative. The concept store will serve as an innovative space in which FUTR World visitors can shop for the latest drops from some of the region’s most loved brands.
