Dom Art Projects’ Studio Support Programme culminates in two coinciding exhibitions by seven emerging UAE-based artists. The group exhibition titled “Studio, Wounds, and Battles” brings together finished and unfinished works by Joumana Mortada, Meher Afroz Vahid, Rabila Kidwai, Aisha Alhammadi, Divyaaunshi Purohit, and Teng Miras. Alongside it, multidisciplinary artist Sara Masinaei will present her works in a solo exhibition titled “Boundaries and Breaches.” Both will run from 23 September until October 2026.
The Studio Support Programme was launched as part of Dom Art Projects’ role as an art institution committed to supporting artists and their practices. Introduced during the recent geopolitical tensions, the initiative gave artists the space and time to develop their practices without requiring them to produce new work or meet predetermined outcomes. Reflecting this approach, the culmination show presents artistic practice at different stages, from research and experimentation to unfinished, evolving and completed works, offering visitors a glimpse into parts of the creative process that are usually unseen.
Solo Show: Boundaries and Breaches by Sara Masinaei
23 Sep – 18 Oct 2026
Opening hours: 11am – 8pm
Dom Art Projects, Warehouse 40, Al Khayat Avenue, Dubai
Sara Masinaei’s Boundaries and Breaches explores how urban spaces shape memory, movement and lived experience. Through walking, collecting found objects and recording traces of overlooked surfaces, she treats the city’s ground as an active part of how we experience and navigate our surroundings. Her works include monoprints created by pressing canvas directly onto urban surfaces, alongside sculptural pieces that explore the tension between order and disruption, showing how boundaries can contain the possibility of being breached.

The group exhibition Studio, Wounds, and Battles brings together works by Aisha Alhammadi, Divyaaunshi Purohit, Joumana Mortada, Meher Afroz Vahid, Rabila Kidwai, Sara Masinaei and Teng Miras. Rather than presenting only finished works, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the creative process, including experiments, works in progress, research and completed pieces developed during their time in the studios. The programme gave each artist space and time to explore their practice without the pressure to produce a specific outcome, allowing for experimentation, uncertainty, mistakes and new directions.
