Dubai: Dubai Wholesale City, the largest wholesale hub in the world, hoisted the UAE national flag today, in support of the ‘UAE Flag Day’ initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Held at TECOM Group Offices, the flag raising ceremony was attended by Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Wholesale City, along with the Tecom Group staff.
The UAE Flag Day officially falls on November 3 every year, marking the anniversary of the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession to office.
Commenting on this occasion, Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Wholesale City, said: “Today we celebrate our pride, commitment and national unity. We also pay tribute to the UAE’s glorious success and achievements in becoming one of the fastest growing economies of the world. The flag reflects our allegiance to our nation and our beloved leader His Highness Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.”
