The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi hails successful Eid Concert series with unforgettable performances by Tamer Hosni and Myriam Fares
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) concluded its 2021 Eid Concert series with phenomenal performances from superstars Tamer Hosni and Myriam Fares, with the two singers thrilling the crowd at Etihad Arena on the second night of Eid concerts – the first live, in-person concerts in the UAE capital for 15 months.
Following on from the successful first night, when Hussain Al Jasmi and Assala wowed the crowd, it was evident how excited the audience was to enjoy a live performance once again. The safety measures employed by Abu Dhabi, including mask wearing, clear social distancing protocols and mandatory vaccination status for everyone over 16 years old, showed how organised the emirate’s drive to keep its residents and citizens safe.
HE Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi said, “The Eid Concert series has been a major success. These concerts, as well as the spectacular firework displays over Yas Bay, gave us the opportunity to gather safely to celebrate Eid Al Adha and showcased the success of Abu Dhabi’s safety campaign. The first live in-person concerts in 15 months were the curtain-raisers for many more special experiences to come this year.”
DCT Abu Dhabi has many more activities planned for the rest of Summer 2021, with further announcements to come.
