Emirates Islamic announces the winner of AED100,000 cash and other prizes as part of Huawei promotional campaign

Dubai: Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, has announced the lucky winners of its promotional campaign in collaboration with Huawei, the leading global technology company.

The campaign, which ran during January 2021, was part of the Bank’s commitment to encouraging digital ways of banking by enabling customers to register, login, and transact on the award-winning Emirates Islamic Online Banking and Mobile Banking platforms for a chance to win exciting giveaways.

Chad national Nymot Ngabo Saka walked away with the grand cash prize of AED 100,000. Also, Pakistani national Abdul Sattar Abdul Rehman was rewarded with a HUAWEI Mate40 Pro smartphone, and UAE national Humaid Abdulla Abdulla Alkindi won a HUAWEI WATCH GT2 smartwatch. Meanwhile, Jordanian national Ahmad Fawzi Husni Mohammad and Indian nationals Arman Haider and Syed Ahamed Nazeer Ahamed each took home a HUAWEI Freebuds 3i earphones.

Emirates Islamic’s digital-first approach has been steadily gaining traction, with over 70% of customers now banking through online and mobile banking channels. The Bank was the first Islamic financial institution in the UAE to launch a Mobile Banking App with high customer ratings. In December 2020, Emirates Islamic became the UAE’s first Islamic Bank to launch its mobile banking app on the HUAWEI AppGallery platform, enabling the Bank’s customers to access their accounts and cards from the convenience of their Huawei mobile devices and quickly transfer money or apply for products such as finance and credit cards. 

The HUAWEI AppGallery is the third-largest mobile app marketplace with more than 530 million monthly active users globally and above 700 million Huawei devices. HUAWEI AppGallery is available in over 170 countries and regions globally, with 384 billion user app downloads in the second half of 2020.
