Dubai, UAE – XX October 2026 – The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) has officially accredited the ‘Al Multaqa 21’ Youth Space at the Emirates Health Services (EHS) Training and Development Centre, part of the Youth Spaces initiative launched to leverage existing facilities across public and private establishments, and turn them into dedicated platforms where young people can learn, network, exchange expertise, and develop initiatives.
‘Al Multaqa 21’ stands out from other Youth Spaces by presenting an expanded model that combines a Youth Space with an Innovation Lab. By doing so, it provides a comprehensive, integrated environment that enables youth to develop, test, and transform their ideas into viable solutions and initiatives to be implemented in the health sector.
Supportive environments:
His Excellency Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of the FYA, said: “The Youth Spaces ecosystem reflects a national vision that appreciates the importance of creating environments dedicated to young people within their respective sectors. These spaces offer the right conditions for developing models that respond to the specific needs of each sector, giving young people a greater role in developing ideas, proposing initiatives, and creating a real impact across their institutions and communities.”
“‘Al Multaqa 21’ marks a transformative shift in the Youth Spaces ecosystem, seamlessly combining youth empowerment with innovation in the health sector,” H.E. Al Nuaimi added. “It establishes an environment that supports creative young minds, enables them to develop their ideas and transform them into practical solutions, enhances their contribution to a vital sector, and empowers them to play their part in achieving the objectives of the National Youth Agenda 2031. We highly value the close cooperation from Emirates Health Services in developing this space and applaud its commitment to providing an environment that supports youth’s capabilities and role in developing initiatives and solutions.”
Practical platforms:
For his part, H.E. Dr Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at Emirates Health Services, affirmed that launching ‘Al Multaqa 21’ reflects EHS’s commitment to following national directives on youth empowerment and creating practical platforms enabling young people to participate, generate ideas, and contribute to developing the work environment. Adding an Innovation Lab to the Youth Space, he noted, marks a notable shift from proposing ideas to testing and developing them into impactful solutions.
“We regard youth as partners in developing the work environment and shaping the future of healthcare,” H.E. Al Zarooni added. “With that in mind, we sought to ensure ‘Al Multaqa 21’ transcends the conventional concept of a networking space to form an all-inclusive environment that allows youth to interact, experiment, innovate, and develop ideas that can be transformed into viable initiatives and solutions.”
Transformative solutions:
On a similar note, Dr Kalthoom AlBlooshi, Chief Innovation Officer and Director of the Training and Development Centre at EHS, explained that ‘Al Multaqa 21’ allows youth to transition from dialogue and brainstorming to actively developing and testing ideas, before leveraging the tools, expertise, and partnerships available to implement them.
The Youth Space was designed to be an integrated environment combining networking, learning, experimentation, and innovation, she said, noting that it serves as a sustainable platform that connects talents with experts and partners, provides access to modern technologies, and enables the development of transformative initiatives and solutions for the work environment and the wider health sector.
Making an impact:
Amna Al Hammadi, Emirates Health Services Youth Council President, stated that recognising the ‘Al Multaqa 21’ Youth Space provides young people across EHS facilities with an ideal opportunity to connect, share experiences, and discuss ideas, challenges, aspirations, and roles in the workplace. It connects youth from various medical specialisations and facilities, enabling them to build stronger professional ties.
The Innovation Lab aspect, she noted, allows their ideas to move from the discussion stage to experimentation and development, turning the space into a launchpad for youth-led initiatives that reflect their vision and ability to make a real-life impact.
Interactive experience:
The launch event for ‘Al Multaqa 21’ featured an interactive AI-powered experience, activities by the Scientific Club, the ‘Medi Match AI’ challenge, and a workshop titled ‘Innovation in Healthcare’, organised in collaboration with Microsoft. These activities allowed participants to explore AI applications and modern technologies, empowering them to employ these tools in developing healthcare-related solutions.
‘Al Multaqa 21’ offers a permanent space for EHS youth to connect, exchange knowledge and expertise, and develop skills. It provides a practical environment for incubating ideas, developing initiatives, and enhancing collaboration among youth from different specialisations and facilities.
The EHS Youth Council will play a part in activating the new Youth Space through programmes, sessions, workshops, and innovative activities. The Council will connect youth with experts and partners, supporting their efforts to develop their ideas and turn them into viable initiatives and projects with an impact on the work environment and the health sector.
In the stages ahead, the Federal Youth Authority will continue to develop ‘Al Multaqa 21’ into a sustainable platform for programmes, sessions, workshops, and innovative activities. By doing so, the Authority ensures youth are consistently connected with experts and partners who can support them in transforming their ideas into practical projects with a real-life impact on the work environment and the broader community.
