Hi-tech park hosts fun-filled, dog-friendly Christmas Market for residents
Dubai, UAE: Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, hosted a fun-filled Christmas Market with a difference last Friday. The guest list included some 400 residents from across the DSO community and nearly 100 dogs, all smartly turned out in the best of canine winter gear!
Getting into the festive spirit in sartorial style, the precious canines attended a Pooch Fashion Show with the best dressed candidates winning dog-friendly gifts for their Christmas flair. More than 15 pet vendors and a wide selection of food stalls offered the visitors and their dogs fun networking opportunities as they grabbed a snack or two. A Santa’s Grotto offered children endless amusement while competitive activities like darts and ping-pong, and a giant game of Jenga proved to be popular crowd-pullers. A Christmas Photo Booth ensured that all participants took home family snapshots of the memorable event. Kids enjoyed dabbling in some festive art and getting their faces painted in seasonal themes.
Hosted for the first time at DSOA’s latest project, the Dubai Digital Park, as part of its commitment to become the preferred community for people to live, work and invest in, the successful event will return next year with even more activities to strengthen the community spirit at the hi-tech park.
Dubai Digital Park, Dubai’s first smart city project, spans over an area of 150,000 square meters and comprises 47,000 square meters of office space, 17,000 square meters of retail units, 235 smart residential apartments and more than 5,000 square meters of ready-made and plug & play offices.
