KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait: Ford Middle East and Alghanim Auto, the only importer authorized by Ford Motor Company to import Ford and MotorCraft® products in Kuwait, are partnering to kick off the latest round of the 2016 Truck Tour in Kuwait City this month, bringing the award winning Built Ford Tough F-150 and Ranger pickups, in addition to the full-size Expedition, Ford’s largest utility vehicle, closer to Kuwaiti consumers.
The roadshow which earlier this year enjoyed great success in the region, will commence the next phase in Kuwait, at the Sirbb Circuit, from November 24th to 26th between 4 pm and 10 pm, where fans and motoring enthusiasts will have access to three unique activations – Ford Ranger and F-150 Drive, and the Expedition Display. Apart from first-hand experience on Ford’s world-class and award-winning truck and SUV offerings, the 2016 Drive the Future of Tough Truck Tour includes various engagement activities such as interactive gaming, remote-controlled Ford F-150 Raptor model racing and 3D ground art.
“Together with Alghanim Auto, we are excited to bring the Ford Truck Tour to our Kuwait-based customers,” said Thierry Sabbagh, managing director, Ford Middle East. “Drive the Future of Tough is a great platform for our Kuwaiti customers to learn and experience what our ‘Built Ford Tough’ trucks are capable of. With the line-up of activities at hand, we are confident Ford fans and truck fanatics are going to enjoy this amazing experience.”
Customers who would like to participate in this event must register in advance and are encouraged to do so by November 23rd. The Sirbb Circuit is located in Shuwaikh Industrial Area 1, Block 1, Street 11, Kuwait City.
The Ford F-150, that builds on the legacy of the F-Series trucks as America’s best-selling for 39 straight years, delivers an impressive combination of power, capability and efficiency – from advanced materials that improve durability and inhibit corrosion, to faster processors that enhance driving performance, to breakthrough cargo management and towing solutions.
A range of three engines provides more power to meet almost any customer need. A new 3.5-litre V6 engine with twin independent variable camshaft timing join the proven 3.5-litre EcoBoost and 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8.
Both the exterior and interior design of Ford F-150 reflect decades of listening to customers and understanding their occupational and recreational needs. The exterior is characterised by a new shape that suggests capability, with a wider Built Ford Tough stance, prominent wheel arches and chiselled grille.
Comfort, utility and refinement define the truck’s interior. Ergonomically optimised seating for the front row positions enhances comfort, while extending legroom for rear passengers. Buttons and controls are optimised so they can be operated while wearing work gloves.
The new Ford Ranger Pickup has proven itself as one of the toughest and most capable vehicles in its class. With an exceptional 800 mm water wading depth, and with 230 mm of ground clearance, it is designed and engineered to handle the most extreme terrains with ease. Thanks to a 28-degree approach angle and 25-degree departure angle, drivers in the new Ranger can feel confident when taking on steep obstacles. The new Ranger proudly takes this legacy even further with upgraded engines, the adoption of electric power steering and improved ride quality and comfort.
The new, modern look lends a powerful presence on the road, and immediately conveys a sense of capability. The design is defined by a strong new trapezoidal grille, flanked by imposing chiselled projector headlamps that are shaped to flow into the front wings. This clearly accentuates the width and strong stance, thus making the new Ranger instantly recognisable with a bold, technical look.
The Ranger Pickup’s impressive performance, capability, payload and towing capacity are made possible thanks to the latest generation of powerful, more refined and fuel-efficient Duratorq TDCi diesel engines, as well as the proven Duratec petrol unit.
Expedition, which debuted in 1996, is Ford’s largest utility vehicle, with seating for eight adults and a five-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Expedition takes full-size utility vehicle design to a higher level with a diverse line-up of vehicles, each featuring a distinct look and feel to give customers more choices.
The Expedition comes with an EcoBoost® engine that also powers the industry-leading Ford F-150, and a quieter cabin with more technology than previous-generation vehicles. Using direct injection and twin turbochargers the EcoBoost® engine provides more power, efficiency and performance.
The Expedition features the latest technologies, including available SYNC® with MyFord Touch®, passive entry with push-button start and Blind Spot Information System® with cross traffic alert.
