Majid Al Futtaim’s dedicated cinema arm partners with DET to bring exclusive dishes by renowned Emirati chefs to THEATRE at VOX Cinemas
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, July 2026: VOX Cinemas has partnered with Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET) to launch ‘Emirati Chefs x VOX’, a limited-time culinary collaboration celebrating the UAE’s finest homegrown talent through an exclusive menu inspired by local flavours.
Available from 29 July, guests dining at THEATRE by VOX Cinemas can savour three specially curated dishes created by some of the UAE’s most exciting Emirati chefs. The exclusive menu features a refreshing Date & Chami Cheese Salad and slow-cooked Beef Short Ribs by UAE Twin Chefs Abdulrahman and Maitha Al Hashmi, the youngest qualified Emirati chefs in the UAE and the Middle East, alongside an indulgent Emirati Sticky Date Pudding by acclaimed Emirati pastry chef Ahmad Al Fardan, who honed his craft in Dubai and Switzerland.
Designed to elevate the premium cinema experience, the collaboration brings authentic Emirati flavours to the big screen for a limited time, offering food lovers and film fans an opportunity to discover locally inspired cuisine while enjoying the latest blockbuster releases. The initiative also supports Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33 by providing a high-profile platform for Emirati culinary entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity to thousands of guests, while celebrating the country’s rich culinary heritage and vibrant creative economy.
To mark the launch, VOX Cinemas hosted an exclusive Chef’s Table preview at THEATRE, Mall of the Emirates on 28 July, alongside the premiere of Spider-Man: A Brand New Day, welcoming media, food creators, and industry tastemakers for a first taste of the new menu.
The ‘Emirati Chefs x VOX’menu is available for a limited time exclusively at THEATRE by VOX Cinemas in Dubai at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Nakheel Mall and Wafi Mall, and in Abu Dhabi at The Galleria Al Maryah Island and Yas Mall.
