
Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, affirmed that the celebration of Emirati Women’s Day this year is one that carries the accomplishments of five decades of success, excellence and leadership achieved by Emirati women. She also highlighted this year’s theme ‘Women: Ambitions & Inspiration for Next 50 Years,’ which was endorsed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Mother of the Nation, through which Her Highness enhanced the status of women and their ability to influence the next 50 years of the UAE’s development process.
Badri said: “Emirati Women’s Day is the culmination of a continuous process of achievements made by Emirati female talents and innovators across all fields, a process that deserves to be commended and appreciated. Emirati women have enjoyed the support and empowerment of our wise leadership, which has opened doors of opportunity for them to express themselves and their creativity, thereby becoming unique role models for generations to come.”
Badri added: “Emirati women have become a key partner in achieving the vision of our country and contributing to its development at various levels with their creative thinking, passion for work and success, and limitless ambition. I am proud of their achievements and confident that they will continue to shine in the coming decades, progressing on their path of innovation at a confident pace and inspiring future generations of women across the world.
