Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International certificate means the Mubadala Health partner and its three specialized centers are all accredited by global organizations relevant to their field

The Dental Clinic at Healthpoint, a Mubadala Health partner, is among only a few in the UAE to have earned accreditation from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI), a body that offers independent reviews of quality and safety for prospective patients around the world.
The ACHSI accreditation is being awarded for a three-year cycle following a rigorous review to ensure that the Healthpoint Dental Clinic’s implemented processes and procedures meet international standards for patient care, and that outcomes are evaluated to inform a continuous quality improvement program. The accreditation requires healthcare organizations to focus on all standards and criteria included in ACHSI’s Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP), which supports excellence in patient care and services.
Healthpoint’s Medical Director, Dr. Mai Sultan Al Jaber, said of the accreditation: “At Healthpoint, we are constantly measuring our standards against the highest international benchmarks to ensure we are offering world-class service to our patients, particularly in our core specialties. These accreditations keep us vigilant in our focus on delivering the highest safety standards and quality of care, but more importantly, they provide peace of mind for patients. The addition of the prestigious ACHSI accreditation means that Healthpoint’s most significant services are now all internationally accredited.”
Stressing this point, Dr. Al Jaber explains that the hospital itself boasts a Gold Seal of Approval by the Joint Commission International (JCI) for superior standards of care and patient safety. Aside from the Dental Clinic, Healthpoint’s remaining two specialized centers – the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center and the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Center – are accredited by the American Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). In its accreditation, the SRC has named four ‘Centers of Excellence’ at Healthpoint, which are Orthopedic Surgery, Joint Replacement, Minimally Invasive Surgery and the Metabolic and Bariatric Center.
Dr. Khalid Alameri, a consultant orthodontist and Head of Department of Dentistry at Healthpoint adds: “We are delighted to receive this accreditation as it represents an important step towards approving a future residency program for our Department to support dental graduates who wish to specialize in various fields of dentistry.”
The CEO of ACHSI, Dr Karen Luxford, said of the accreditation: “Congratulations to Healthpoint for achieving ACHS International accreditation for their Dental Clinic. We commend their leadership and staff’s commitment to improving quality and patient safety. We are excited to continue our partnership with Healthpoint to provide quality care to their patients and community. ACHS International always thrives on inspiring excellence in healthcare with our partners.”
At a private ceremony held at Healthpoint, the accreditation certificate was handed to Dr. Khalid Al Ameri, head of the Healthpoint Dental Clinic, by H.E. Heidi Venamore, the Australian ambassador to the UAE, with the attendance of selected members of both entities.
