Out-of-the-box idea synced to the brand differentiators of the recently launched HONGQI H9 pours in 760,000 video views, 5 million followers and 239 participants
Dubai: The 16-day online marathon organized by the Chinese luxury car brand HONGQI concluded successfully with huge participation and those who took part hailing it as an amazing idea and an opportunity blending a unique sporting activity with the cause of health and resilience in the current times of the pandemic.
The online marathon which was open to all in the UAE followed the carmaker’s recent unveiling of its debut luxury brand HONGQI H9 in the UAE as part of the company’s global foray.
“The online marathon which began on January 5, 2021 and concluded on January 20 broke the limits of even traditional offline marathons and successfully reinforced HONGQI’s advocacy of an active and optimistic mindset boosted by a healthy body, which is all the more imperative in these times of the pandemic,” said Wang Lingyu, General Manager of Overseas Marketing Division, HONGQI, adding that this theme also reflected the core values of the brand.
The marathon which offered participants an exclusive window to showcase their run details, including digital video grabs by posting it on Dubai Fitness or Nike Run Club apps attracted at least 760,000 video views and 5 million followers, in addition to 239 local participants.
“This indeed was a nationwide offline exercise and online competition and the campaign’s huge success also helped us showcase the unique charm of the HONGQI brand. Coming after our debut in the UAE and the regional market with our first product HONGQI H9, the online marathon has been a versatile platform for us to communicate the exclusivity and ubiquity of our luxury car,” said Wang Lingyu.
The marathon participants were excited about HONGQI cars and the elegance of the design of H9 was a particular attraction adding to the wow factor of the brand. The full sized limousine model HONGQI H9 comes with contemporary and unique design, spacious deluxe interiors and offers superlative performance. The pre-sales of the model has already attracted many buyers to the HONGQI showroom in Dubai.
Registered participants of the marathon will be given presented with a range of prizes.
