Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September, 2026 – At the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, HONOR presented its portable cinematic devices, including its world’s first Robot Phone, as the Official Imaging Strategic Partner of the International Promotion Program for Chinese-Language Films.
Co-engineered with ARRI, the HONOR Robot Phone has drawn widespread attention at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival for its innovative mechanical gimbal design and professional-grade cinematic imaging capabilities, showcasing new possibilities for mobile filmmaking.
HONOR–ARRI Cinematic Imaging Partnership Makes Professional Filmmaking More Accessible
Selected elements of ARRI’s renowned Image Science and professional cinema workflow have been adapted for use in a smartphone, giving creators greater flexibility during production while preserving creative control throughout post-production. By bringing elements of a professional filmmaking workflow to a pocket-sized device, the partnership aims to make cinematic creation more accessible without compromising creative freedom.
For creators, ARRI LogC3 preserves more highlight and shadow information for post-production, while ARRI Wide Gamut 3 provides a broader color space and ARRI Looks offer controlled cinematic color styles. Through the partnership, the HONOR Robot Phone brings ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks together on a single device, supporting an integrated mobile capture-to-post-production workflow.
Professional Filmmaking Capabilities Coming to future HONOR devices:

HONOR brings expertise in mobile imaging, powerful processing, and robotics. ARRI contributes more than a century of trusted leadership in image science and professional production workflows. We come from different industries, but we share one ambition: to expand what creators can achieve with the tools they carry every day,” said David Bermbach, Chief Product Officer of ARRI.
By bringing together HONOR’s advanced mobile imaging capabilities and ARRI’s century-long heritage in cinematic image science, the collaboration reflects a shared ambition to unlock new creative possibilities and extend elements of professional filmmaking workflows to a new generation of creators.
